  • What a ton of posts! I haven't been on since Thursday and I had a lot to read!

I was off of work on Friday and got a lot done. Three hours at the gym. I'm getting a little better at step class but I only make it on a vacation day so I'll never get great. DH and I had lunch at the Blackeyed Pea. I had a wonderful veggie plate. A cup of tomato basil soup and sides of broccoli, squash casserole, whipped sweet potatoes (I got them to leave out the butter), and green beans. I did eat one roll and I imagine there was stuff in the casserole that was not strickly on plan but it tasted so good. Then I spent hours driving around trying to find empty clear film canisters (see below).

Friday night we did some setup for the Scout Show and then did the rest starting around 7:30 on Saturday morning. We had so much fun! I ran the Lemon battery experiment for 5 hours straight. We also had a Penny Cleaner experiment and AlkaSeltzer rockets (made with film canisters). All the Scouts had a great time. Our booth won Best in the Show for Cub Scouts. There were about 160 booths that were run by Cub Scouts so that was quite an honor. There were over 400 booths total. Brian climbed the rock climbing wall this time. He's really growing up. I remembered that last year there was nothing healthy to eat so this time I packed a cooler with some chicken salad sandwiches on wheat, raw zucchini and grapes. The kids and I ended up eating the grapes after they got tired of all the candy that was being handed out.

Tonight is Brian's gymnastic competition so I'll be missing my workout. This is his first competition so it should be a lot of fun.
  • CJ... Was that Bronco the one that was in Compton that has been on the news today? I saw it and thought OMG! I am so glad y'all are safe!
  • Oy, what is it about Broncos? CJ, I'm so glad you are okay!!!

Bamie, it's so good to 'see' you!!! You take it easy girl! We'll send some cabana boys to fan you and feed you grapes.
  • Ellis Hope you enjoyed your alone day! I am dying for one of those. We only have 8 1/2 more days of school left, so once we are done, it is SUMMERTIME!! I will take DD to preschool twice a week like I did last summer, so I can have a bit of alone time before the baby is born.

Laurie The pie sounds delish!! Dh and I have wanted to get involved in Habitat for Humanity, but haven't made the time yet.

Plugging away here, I am pretty tired these days and have a nagging cough that is keeping me up at night. Grrr..... only 6 more weeks to go- of course, I will be a HECK of a lot more tired, but it will feel good to start getting my body back. I am remembering these aches and pains from when I was preggers with DD. Totally worth it, but man is it uncomfortable!!

    Behave chickies!
  • Hello!

Beach Gal: All your HFH work was a great workout! I have always wanted to physically get involved with them.

KissJoy: Are you a wedding planner? What "interesting" people you must meet. Is your job fun?

AnchorWeight: I golf too! Great Mom's Day gift they got you.

To everyone who didn't have to be inside at work today congrats! It was so nice.

Happy Mother's Day to all! I had a nice one with my mom. We didn't do anything exceptional, but it was just good to spend time together. We did have fun digging up flowers to take to my new home, but wow it was windy, that must have been part of that No'Easter! Today was such a lovely day and I was suppose to golf, but I had a book class. That ended early enough for me to get playtime in the garden! That's totally what's up with me.

Has anyone else on Phase 1 just completely lost thier appetite. I had a cheese stick at 3:30 and a pickled egg at 5:30...I never had dinner. I wasn't even hungry. I ended up with two roast beef rolls at 9PM...I also feel that I have all this energy! I think my body is feeling clensed.
