  • I had a non-scale victory today when I tried on a pair of size 16 denim pants I bought after Christmas. They fit me then but were too tight to sit in, and even tighter after I preshrank them.

Today I put them on and they are OK, just need to be shortened. Yippee! I've not been a size 16 butt for years and years! The scale is sort of stuck but something is happening!

Have you got a NSV to share?
  • Congrats for you Ruth! That's awesome!
  • Congratulations, Ruth! I love that feeling of getting into smaller clothes!
  • Ruth, that's wonderful!! I'm so happy for you!

No, none of the rest of us have victories. You win, baby!! maybe I can find a victory tomorrow...
  • , Ruth!!! Size 16's...SEXY! I have this image of DH chasing you around the house.... Good for you, girl!!! Fitting into your skinny jeans is a HUGE accomplishment!
  • Congratulations!!!! :d
  • Hey, so what about the rest of you? What are your NSVs? I know I heard someone mention losing 4 inches...was that Beach Bum?
  • I'm wearing size 18W pants today! Considering that when I started SBD I was in a size 24W, this is great!! (Although keep in mind that my 24's were comfy, not tight.)

Ruth - congrats on the 16 pants!! I'll be so happy when I hit that size again.
  • Sassy, I was thinking back and checking old journals and the last time I had a pair of size 16 was 1991!

I'd be pretty close there to you, then. I'm thinking that it was around 1993 for me. I actually remember my last beloved size 16 outfit that I held onto until I just had to accept that I couldn't get into it anymore. I was going through a "country" phase and it was this adorable peach button down western style shirt and peach denim skirt. I would wear it with my brown boots and I just thought I was IT!! Too bad I don't still have that outfit around...
  • , Sassy!!! Great work!!! Isn't it amazing to be in a size that starts with a 1 instead of a 2? (I started out as a tight 26/28)

Sassy, that outfit sounds adorable! I remember a pair of size 16 jeans that were too big for me when I was about 13 or so. A neighbor's daughter gave them to me in a pile of her old clothes. When I was in high school and went on a diet, I was just able to squeeze into them. I think that might be the last time I wore a size 16...about 1991 or even 1990. It's been a while!!! I'm currently about the size I was when I started college in 1992. Wow.... memory lane!
  • Sassy, congratulations, hon!! I'm tempted to take my pants off to see what size they are, but I'm in the kitchen and we have company, so I'll hold off until later.
  • GOOD GOING!!!
Jeans have no mercy, so when your a 16 in jean you know that you are a 16 or less!!!
  • Great job! Congrats
  • I have at least 5-6 pairs of jeans in varying sizes that I cannot wait to dig out and try on, everything from a 16 (that I can just barely squeeze into) to 14's to 12's...oh, to fit into those 12's again...
