It's a beautiful day in "suburban" Delta too!

I am off to work in the Greenhouse for the morning. I'm going to get the propane tank filled while I'm on the road and may BBQ tonight! Life is grand! See y'all, later as Bamie would say!

Big Syrup Festival Weekend coming up so I may be a bit "seldom".

Good Morning! TGIF! I'm looking forward to planting some flowers and my vegetable garden this weekend. We're suppossed to have beautiful weather for a whole week. I'm hoping to get a lot of my "outdoor chores" done. We have a fence to paint, a swing set & mailbox. If you're out there Sil, I could sure use any gardening tips you may have. I'm fairly new at this and I'm hoping for my garden to be a success this year! And to all you other ladies,....hope you have a grrrreat day!Tara

Morning, Tar. Hey, maybe we should start a gardening thread for Q&A? Where do you live, Tar? Hmm ...maybe I'll just start one.

Ugghh.. what a morning it has been.

I blame South Beach for what happened in my house this morning!!! DH and I have both been saying how good we feel eating better (no surprise there... we've noticed this before.) The mornings have been easier - only thing was I was really tired last night, so we turned in early. This morning DH's alarm goes off at 6:00 and he's not there. I turn it off and call for him - in the shower, no. I call downstairs - thinking he slept on the couch because he was coughing somewhat, no. Check DS's room -did he go to comfort him in the middle of the night and fall asleep in his bed, no. I get decent and go downstairs calling his name, checking every room, finally I peek outside and his car is gone. Now... mind you I just woke up and my brain isn't fully functional yet! I think maybe he got a call in the middle of the night and his mom is sick, or his cold got worse and he took himself to the ER! So, I finally get the idea to call him...................... He's at work. Woke up at 3:30 and couldn't go back to sleep, so he got to work at 4:30. Boy did I let him have it! But, I calmed down. He says, I guess I should have told you before I left. Ya think? It's not that bad, but you know when panic sets in when you can't find your kid in a store? It was like that - except I was barely awake!

So I guess this diet gives you more energy!! LOL!! Geez, now my adreneline is all pumped for the day, I'd better get started! I'm still in my grungies - cuz I get to clean today. DD is slower than molasses this morning and we've got to leave in about 45 minutes.

Morning chicks!

I'm still suffering through TOM and Phase I but it gets better every day. Still very OP on everything. No cheats. Pumping green tea and water.

Ruth - We grill all winter! Snow - it doesn't matter. Have yourself a yummy grilled dinner tonight! Can't wait to hear what you're cooking.

Bami - Hope your mom is doing ok. Let us know. I had my knee scoped. No big deal. Let me know if you have questions.

Ellis - you sound so chipper! Have a great day!

Tar - Good luck with the garden. I have to start all over since I'm living in a new place. Tomatoes and green beans this year. And maybe asparagus too but it won't come up till next year.

Hottie - I can feel your anxiety. He should have left a note.

I can't wait to sleep in tomorrow. This has been one long week! DS had to run into school today so he wouldn't get another tardy! I think we will all be sleeping in tomorrow. DS will be at his dads but he can sleep in there. There is a craft show in Novi that I really want to go to but I can't talk anyone into going. I don't want to drive across the state by myself. Oh well maybe next time.

I sold all the toe rings and ankle bracelets I made in Florida sitting around the pool. I have to get busy and make some more this weekend. That will keep my mind off dieting. People say I should get a website and sell them - just what I need another project. I had to tell my Project Charlie people that I couldn't chair it next year - but I will be teaching it in the classrooms. Trying to re-organize my schedule a little better. I've been way over committed this past year.

It was last year at this time that I decided to go ahead and file for divorce. I waited until June when DS was out of school but I'm feeling a little emotional about it. Not sure why - it was the right decision - but still feeling a little creepy about it.

Not sure about you guys but I want to have waist like SWEET TOOTH!

Take care chicks!

Good morning ladies! Headed out to work...long day ahead. Hubby and I are going to treat ourselves by going to Wendy's today for chili and a salad. We haven't been out to eat all week (well, except for the ketchup fiasco at BK )

Hottie, bless your heart! My dh has done that before too. Tell him next time to leave a note, if not waking you up. But, with all that energy, think of the things he can do for you around the house!!! LOL

I need to do some veggie planting soon, but I'll have to do them in pots. Cherry tomatos, reg tomatos and peppers are what I'm thinking of. Can I do these in pots? Anyone know?!!? I've always had a real garden before, but since moving I don't have the room.

Everyone have a great day!!!!

Hi Jenn, check out my post on the Garden thread

Anchor~~ I'm sorry that you are feeling sad, but that is a normal response to divorce. Even if it is the right thing to do, it's a loss just the same. We all start out a marriage thinking that "this is the one" and that it will last forever. This is a new beginning for you~grab it and make the most of it, girl. We are always here for you

Hottie~ He should have left a note! I'm sure he didn't think of how worried you would be (men are like that).

Bamie~Sorry to hear about your knee ;( Boy, you and Ruth are a pair).

Ellis~Enjoy the day to yourself, Sweetie. Do something "just for you".

Tar~I have things outside to paint, too but it will have to wait until the pollen subsides or else it will stick to it

Ruth~~I'm so jealous of you getting to spend time in the greenhouse. Wish I could be there, too.

Good morning everyone. Weather here isn't balmy, but at least it isn't raining (or snowing), like yesterday. I'm sooooo thankful that it is Friday. This has been an incredibly long week in our neck of the woods.

ellis - Mornin'. I take mine with milk and sweetner.

Ruth - Have fun at the greenhouse. AND enjoy the barbque tonight. MMMM. Makes me think that we should have one, too.

Tar - Have fun with the garden. I haven't planted one for years, mostly because the harvest comes at the busiest time of year for me and I can't get the stuff put down. I really do enjoy the fresh veggies, though.

Bamie - Good luck with the dr. appointment today. Hope that everything is OK and that the results are good.

Hottie - That's funny about your DH. Next time, leave a job list for the house out for him. Maybe that would be a hint...

anchor weight - Wishing you well with your sleeping in tomorrow. You really do need to get some rest and look after yourself. What kind of bracelets and toe rings do you make?

butterflykisses - Have a great treat out tonight and a wonderful weekend.

Me - Well, I got my stitches out yesterday, and had to suffer through the laughter at the dr.'s office. He says it's the first work related claim he's had for exercising....chuckle, chuckle

I also decided last night that I needed to be more consistent in my weight training before my surgery, so went home and did a lower body workout last night c/w dog trying to help. DH was out last night so couldn't keep her contained while I did my exercising, so I had to tolerate face licking while I was doing floor exercises. I finally put her favourite show on tv (Good Dog) and that kept her entertained until I was finished.

This weekend, I am reupholstering some cushions for one of the carpenters at work. He offered a long time ago to do some wood work for us, so I am finally able to reciprocate and do something for him. So, I want to get it done this weekend before I don't feel like doing it anymore.

That's pretty much, my life in a nut shell. Not much going on. Hope everyone has a great day and a super weekend. I will try to pop in on the weekend to say hi, but it depends on how well the sewing goes. Take care, everyone.

Well I am off to get a mystic tan! I have a 25 dollar gift card from Sandollar tanning so I figured I would use it. I may join their unlimited tanning it's only 18.88 a month. It's on the same street as my eye doc so I'll pick up my new contacts on the way. I did it one time before and I don't remember it havin an odor. I hope not cause I have the doc appt. and you can't shower for 4-6 hours after the spray.

Hottie...My DH does that. When we first got married I freaked but now I know if I wake up and he's gone I figure he'll be back sometime! lol Even if it is a w-end I don't worry I figure if something has happened somebody will call! lol I sound so concerned huh? lol Sorry you had to go through all that so early in the morning!

Anchor...It is normal! It has been years since my divorce and I still think about it when that time of year rolls around. It was a loss good or bad it is still a loss that you grieve. IMHO! lol Have a good sleep in da mornin!

Jenn..Have a good work day!

Sil...I've about had it with this thing! 2 years is long enough! lol Thanks!

Sweet tooth...You always have the funniest stories! I hope you get all the sewing done!

Well I think I will skip the tan today. I just realized it is almost 10 and I have not even ate b-fast yet! I have been busy shinin on my car this morning. My appt. is at 1 and I have to go to the Madison office today which takes a bit longer to get to. I still need to shave my legs. I also have to drop off all the AYSO info at the commisioners shop. A whole list of things and I am sitting here! Well maybe I will get in and out and I can go before I pick the girls up for our game! I wonder if it will tan through make-up? Probably not. Oh the drama's of my day! hahahahahahahaha! I'm off to eat my 2 eggs I boiled for my b-fast. Have a great day all! If I missed you we were poating at the same time...Hey! lol

Ok - I'm back and less irritited!!

Ruth and Tar: Have fun on your gardening and Outdoor chores! I'm stuck doing Indoor chores today. It's gorgeous here - I wish I could be outside!

Bamie: Sounds like a busy day! Hope all goes with w/ the ortho.

Amy: I want to see your jewelry! Where do you sell it? Sounds great! I'm sorry you are feeling emotional. It's never a fun thing - but it sounds like it's what you should do to move on. It will be a rough few months or so while it's all sorted out. We'll be here for ya! I was only 21 and had a 1 year old when I went through it. You're not alone and I'll be thinking of you!!

Sweet Tooth: Your dog watches TV! That's so cute. My dog won't leave me alone either when ever I'm on the floor. It's cute to watch her try to get in on the wrestling matches with DS and DH!

Well - Have a great Friday everyone. I need to get this house picked up since my dad and stepmom are coming tomorrow!

Thanks for your support on my silly story! I overreacted! DH called to apologize later this morning. I feel bad for him - he's feeling bad about it!
