Default I'm back!

Computer went back so I've been offline for a few weeks, now upgraded and faster than ever before. Yay!

I've lost a couple of pounds these last few weeks but mostly through increasing my water consumption. My diet hasn't changed but my exercise has diminished. I have changed jobs and would like to know how people are fitting in exercise around work and family committments. Before I was working from home so could go exercise during the day and catch up on work at night. Now I work school hours and daylight savings has finished so not practical to go for a walk in the evening. I borrowed a Pilates DVD from my sister which I need to try out but as I am behind a desk most of the day I really need daily exercise. Any tips?

Hey, I'm working on slimming down and getting buff for my wedding next year. I too have a desk job, though it's my own business. Even when you work for yourself you don't have time!

One thing I read about in one of my Bridal Mags is something I plan on starting next week. Basically, this girl toned up by lifting a dumbell while on the phone at work. Anytime she had a moment and a free hand, she used her free weights! Sounds like a good way to tone up when you don't have time, and who knows...maybe you'll look forward to phone calls and breaks.

As for actual aerobic activity, I do tapes on occassion, but mostly I walk in the mornings with my puppy!

Remember that 5 minutes is better than 0!

I do cardio exercise at noon...serves 2 purposes - I don't obsess about food and feel like I need to eat out, and I get my cardio exercise done. I get a 75 minute lunch break, so complete a 60 minute cardio workout (power walking on CD), then rush back and change and am ready for work again. If I have time to grab a snack (cheese stick, nuts, etc.), I do, and eat half my lunch on my morning break and half on the afternoon break. However, there are lots of good 30 minute workouts, also, so do something that fits your break time. I just feel that my lunch break is wasted time, so this works for me. Just for information, I keep handwipes in my gym bag to sponge bath afterwards while I am changing, so it works without having to shower.

For strength and flexibility, I do weights at home at night - alternate between upper and lower body workouts. The idea of doing the weights while on phone calls, etc. is also good.

Welcome back, chick on the beach. I can't give you any exercise advice because I am having trouble getting to it myself!

I have been going to curves. I told my family that I have to have some me time. It is hard to do between working 2 jobs and the kids with their stuff but I am doing atleast 3 times a week more if I can fit it in. And since I have to pay for it makes me get there. Welcome back.

Hey, I jumped on the scales at the doctors this morning and I've dropped 3kg not 3 pounds! My scales aren't accurate; they were only cheap ones. I am so happy!
