Question Phase I - Help

Does anyone else feel like they're eating nothing but low-fat ricotta and eggs all the time? Okay, maybe a salad or two thrown in there... Help, I've gotten my self stuck in a food rut already!

(BTW, this is my second time on the Beach. I've never made it past Phase I. All together, I've probably spent about 4-5 weeks in Phase I. This time, only slightly more than a week.)

I never eat ricotta cheese. I don't mind eggs. I try to change it up alot so I don't get in a food rut. Maybe try checkin out the recipe section to spice it up a lil bit! Hang in there it will be worth it in the end! :-)

I eat lots of stirfry's and salads, and always have either eggs or turkey bacon for breakfast. I really try and mix it up a lot, otherwise I get tired and burnt out from S.B. Another thing I did on Phase 1 was make spaghetti squash with homemade sauce, it made enough for 3 meals, it was perfect

Spaghetti squash is very yummy! I also like turkey chili & look in the recipe section for TACO BAKE (this is REALLY good!!) I also liked the peanut butter cup dessert - it's wonderful. Besides this only lasts for 2 weeks, after that you can SLOWLY start re-introducing carbs - you can do this for 2 little weeks, right?

Please remember that you CAN eat carbs in Phase I. Things like chili and lentil soup and roasted chick peas will perk up your menu but don't overdo it on these good carbs.

There is absolutely no reason to be bored on Phase I. Check out the recipe section and the revised Phase I food list.

And congratulations on the nine pound loss!

I completed Phase 1 without any ricotta cheese. In fact, I've yet to try that recipe I love stirfried cabbage and a variety of veggies to cure boredom. The turkey chili in the recipe room is incredibly delicious. I add chorizo seasoning to my turkey breast meat and OMG! fantastic! How about some egg fu yung? just get canned chinese veggies and add them to whipped eggs, fry in patties. Delish! great way to get the veggies in and very low in calories too. I like to make a meal out of them by adding in some shrimp, chicken and pork strips. Wonderful for variety.
