Default The Weekend - October 9 and 10

Good morning, Chickies. Once again I slept until nearly seven. This could be the start of a trend. I just hope the Girls do the same when they come home.
I guess I was tired from yesterday's puppy excitement.

I'm off to the Church for the bulb, apron and Christmas Cake sale and then will be working at the Mill for a few hours. The Village is going to be really bustling for this Thanksgiving Festival Weekend. I'll be walking because there sure won't be any parking "down street"! The Hyper Pypers and dog Bailey (Lucy's sister) are coming up tomorrow and will be here for lunch so I need to get some stuff ready today. I have a ham and will put that out with buns for a "make your own sandwich" lunch but need some veggies and drinks for the kids. Margo is bringing dessert - tempt me not, Satan!

Somehow I seem to have gained two pounds. Could it possibly be too many meals at the Long Horn? I'll leave my signature for a while and then may have to change it. Now that the knee is much better, I'll get back to walking - dogless or not! It's not like I need them for protection in this little Village!

Have a good weekend and Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadian Chicks.

I wish you wouldn't say things like that. You're flirting with danger. Freddy Kruger will be along tomorrow.

I'll be back shortly... my DD got the Sims2 for her birthday. She's still sleeping, so I'll just check it out and make sure it's appropriate play for her. hee hee!

Good Morning Chicks and Puppies!

See what happens when I don't check in - in the evening. I missed the whole puppy excitement. Congrats! I love puppies.

I'm test driving a new truck (Equinox) on one of those "overnight" visits that GM has. I had to drive it home in pouring rain around 5 pm and there were accidents everywhere! I was soo nervous by the time I got home I was exhausted and went to bed at 8 pm. I have to drive it back today and it is sunny!

Still no TOM, not that I miss it but I still have the symptoms. If I didn't have the symptoms this would be great. Now I'm worried about weighing in on Monday with a weeks worth bloating again. I've been very good this week so I should be ok.

I hope everyone stays strong this weekend. My DM purchased these super duper carmel apples that have cashew chips all over them. At least she put them in a brown box so I can't see them. If I can't see them it's mind over matter.

I have to get some green tea I know this is the coffee guy but it could be a tea guy too. Last weekend I purchased an orange flavored one that I haven't tried yet. Have a great day!

Good morning you weekend warriors!

My goal is to get through today and tomorrow 100% OP. I can and will do this!!!

Ruth I would love to see pictures of where you live. It sounds just beautiful and so very different from Dallas. I bet it is just stunning in the fall when the leaves change.

Ellis I have never played any of the Sims games. Hope your parental screening of the game is fun!

Anchor I HATE driving in bad weather. My DH thinks (I am NOT!) and bad driver, so add inclement weather to it and it is even worse.

DH was being a bit of a jerk this morning... I hate that! He left for work in a huff- I love the man, but there is no need to be an a##hole!

Planning meals for the week and grocery shopping this afternoon to prepare for my return to the world of the working! Trying a few new recipes as well. My mom is bringing the Tortilla Bake recipe over this morning, so I will post it. It is delish and definitely worth making.

Later chickies!

Karen - Every man on this earth thinks women are bad drivers. I watching this guy in the rear view yesterday in the storm, he is talking on his cell phone and almost smashes into the back of the brand new truck! Whose the bad driver now???

I have a few minutes this afternoon and then I have to work at a wine and cheese fund raiser at Gilda's House tonight. I think I'll have to bring some low fat cheese in my pocket and drink some red wine tonight This will be the first time I have ate or drank something fun since I started SBD.

I'm going back to the grocery store tomorrow to see if that really cute guy is there again. I was there last week between 2pm & 3pm so we will see what happens.

Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Post Party SBD Report:

Hi chickies - I made it through the wine & cheese party and stayed OP. I brought some low fat cheese in a baggie in my pocket. They had shrimp on these little biscuit things so I ate the shrimp and discarded the biscuit. They had toothpicks with cheese/grape/turkey on it - I ate the turkey and dumped the rest. I tried little sips of a bunch of wine. It's amazing - the really expensive ones (I tried one that was $125.00 a bottle) taste a lot like the $12.00 bottles. I figured that I maybe had two full glasses of wine. Not bad. I was very proud of being able to find a way to stay OP. It wasn't easy - they had a dessert tray (lots of chocolate ) with dessert wines that were screaming at me from across the room but I just steared clear and never went over there.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Amy That is awesome!!!!! There is nothing like getting through a social event like that and being able to say you were OP. I think that is fabulous!

I had a great OP day until right before bedtime. My mom had brought over some refrigerated cookie dough for DD and I to make cookies. I had several hunks of it right before bed. Stupid.......

Rainy and gloomy here, I have been in a homebody mode all week, so I don't mind. DH on the other hand is a crank when it isn't nice out. Fun for me, eh?? DD and I are going to go to church here in a bit, then to the store. A bit of cooking and football should round out the day, then back to work for me! I am actually looking forward to it as I really relaxed and feel rested going back to school. No complaints......

Hey everybody. Just popping in. Been horrible for the last two weeks, but going back OP tomorrow. One last day of decadence. My cousin has been in town this weekend, so the diet has been on hold.

Going to help do things around Grandma's house today....clean where she can't reach, set up her DVD player, knock down the GIGANTIC spider webs outside , etc.

Otherwise, nothing else new going on. Hope all is well with everyone. Take care, and I'll be back at it soon!

My connection was down this morning and the ISP techie just called me and got me running again. The darn latest Windows XP update creamed my network connection!

The Hyper Pypers came this morning and started yardwork before they even came in to say Hi! What energy! They brought their own mower and did the dog garden - twice - and then raked it, weed whipped the whole property line, raked up the pine needles that my tree dumped yesterday and even picked the raspberries and gathered the black walnuts.....all this before lunch! We had ham, salad and rolls with Margo's carrot cake for lunch. I did have one piece of cake ...just to be polite, of course. They had Bailey with them and I got my doggie fix. Bailey is Lucy's sister and seemd to be wondering where her mum and sis were!

We are going for turkey dinner with some friends at the Long Horn at 6. It should be fun. It seems strange not to smell turkey cooking though! I'll have to cook one later in the month or do American Thanksgiving in November to celebrate Harry's birthday.

See you in the morning! First one up, please start the daily and put out the beach towels, OK?

Good evening chickies,

Weather here has been fall perfect. We had some well needed rain on Friday and Sat & Sun were gorgeous. Everyone here is still golfing. Beautiful colors are popping out.

I checked for the cutie guy at the grocery store today. It is probably a good thing that he wasn't there. I was dragging naughty DS through the store and it probably wasn't very attractive. I looked good though. Curled my hair put on makeup - I had on my new smaller size brown pants/high heel brown boots. Fall green top and a brown corduroy jacket with these cool woodsey appliques (sp?) of deer, pine trees, acorns etc. This is Michigan you know! I picked it up last year at a craft show in Chicago. I might have missed the cute guy but I looked good draggin naughty boy through the store.

If sweet potatoes are not on Phase II - I may have made a minor slip. I had half of a medium size sweet potato with the Splenda brown sugar, pecan chips and fake butter. It was divine!

Hope everyone did well this weekend.

Hi chicks --

Good news at the WW weigh in! I know how week to week can vary and last week was less than a pound, but this week was 2.8 down so I am heading in the right direction.

And, I haven't even exercised this week.

I have really enjoyed reading all of your posts though I rarely have time to add anything. Thank you all for being here, you don't know what you do for me.
