Warm fuzzy

  • In the way of sharing warm fuzzies with my fellow weight-losers, and seeing as how I DO go by "Fuzzy" here, I have an especially fuzzy warm fuzzy to share with everyone. (I'll be adding this to my motivations/happy memory file as soon as I'm done here.) Warning...almost guaranteed to give you a sugar rush.

Met my parents for breakfast this weekend. We live about an hour away from them, so we meet at a restaurant halfway between cities. Works out nicely. Anyway, I usually hug them hello when I see them. I hugged my dad and was ready to break the hug moment off when he squeezed me again and whispered to me, "My arms just about go around you twice!" Warm fuzzy moments from Dad are especially nice.

This warm fuzzy moment brought to you today by the letter "S"...for SMILE and sugar.
  • That made me tear up -- I know the feeling and know what you mean. When my dad even noticed I lost weight and he said something, I nearly fainted right then and there!
  • Now that was a warm and fuzzy fuzzy, Fuzzy! How nice!
  • Fuzzy, that's a beautiful story... thank you for sharing it with us.
  • I bet that put a permanent smile on your face. Nothing like a big ole dad hug to keep you OP!!
  • You're right, smilintwins. I was smiling all afternoon.

I wasn't especially close to my dad growing up, and it always felt like he was the quickest of anyone to find flaws. He's mellowed out a lot with age, though (maybe my sis and I have, too), but compliments and moments like that with Dad always feel extra special because of how things used to be.

I knew you all would appreciate it.
