Talking TGIF chatter

good morning everyone!!
well it is very early and i can't sleep so i thought i would get us started this morning. i'm going to regret getting up this early at some point today that is a given but since i only have a half day of work it shouldn't be so bad. well i got the hi-speed online thing hooked up last night (yes i was still using dial-up) this is awesome!! i can't understand how i waited so long being the impatient person i am.
dh and i are totally jazzed up about the weekend!! i'm sure it will be a great time. if nothing else we get to spend a little long overdue alone time together!!! i have to kick my but in gear and get packed up tonight since i have just about nothing ready. we will be leaving early tomorrow morning.

ruth so glad you dinner went well, although lasagna sounded really good!! keep getting better.

barb sending you good wishes on your job!!! i hope you don't get caught up in that layoff.

cac congrats on your loss!!!

laurie i'm going to try and put that recipe in today.

to everyone else i hope you have a great day!!!

I'm back to being a two-dog family so need to go feed and potty the monsters. Miss Lucy is VERY demanding!
I'll be back in a bit.

Good morning!

Jodi Hope you have a wonderful weekend~ time away is always so nice!

Ruth So rest for the weary, eh?? You did a great job resisting temptation last night at dinner.

Feeling a bit less cantankerous (sp?) this morning... I went to bed at about 8:30 last night, I was beat! DD was so tired from starting daycare and getting up early again- she was have one meltdown after the other over the silliest things. She has been doing pretty well with potty training, so when we had our FOURTH accident I made the quick decision that I was done for the night! Despite my crabbiness, I went to bed without snacking and ended the day OP.

The training went fine yesterday, it is just a small group of about 8 people, so I don't get nervous. Yesterday was covering our math curriculum.

Hope everyone has a fabulous, OP day!

Good morning, Chickies~~

I had those danged vivid dreams all night long, but they're fading fast. Probably a good thing.

Yesterday was my day for old men with tongues hinged in the middle. Geez, they wouldn't stop yakking!! One, I can understand, his wife is in a home with advanced Alzheimers and they had no kids...so he probably gets very lonely. But the others, they're just old geezers who like the sound of their own voices.

Today I'm getting together for lunch with my vampire friend. My writing buddy is off in Dallas kicking up her heels at the National RWA conference. I told her she has to bring me back goodies (signed books) since I couldn't go.

We had more T storms last night, so once more I'm off the hook for watering the garden. Still, it would be nice to have one day (preferably a weekend day) when I could get out there and put some of those babies in the ground. They really are getting potbound. And DD has decided to "rescue" my rosebushes from me and my hideous neglect. So, she's coming this weekend, BF in tow (he will be wielding the shovel, she supervises) to dig them up.

Ruth, glad you're once again a two furbaby household. Bet the girls were thrilled to see eachother.

Jodi, sorry you couldn't sleep. BTDT.

Kiko, you have my sympathies on the potty training. BTDT, too!--twice. But, it does get better. My younger one resisted and resisted until she got tired of having a wet diaper hanging on her butt. Just out of the blue one day she took it off and the rest is history.

Ok, everyone, have a great day on the Beach!

Default Top O the mornin' to ya

Good morning ladies. I thought I would stop by before I start my busy day! This is pretty early for me, but not for the rest of you I see!
Have fun this weekend Jodi! And good morning Ruth, Kiko, Marmacita, and everyone else to come!
Today is going to be a good day for me, since I had my ultrasound I am not so worried about the baby. Now, I am worried about a cyst that popped up on my darn tailbone! It hurts like ****, but the antibiotics should clear it up pretty fast. It normally does. Doc said if I wasn't pregnant they would want to do surgery to remove it, but they don't like to operate on pregnant women if they don't have to. Whew! I know the next time it flares up they will though since this is the 4th one in 7 years. Doc says it never really goes away it just lies dormant before it decides to get pissed off and flare up again! How nice for me!
I hope everyone has a fabulous day I am off to the drug store!

Good morning ladies....TGIF is right. I woke up this morning thinking it was Saturday. Hopefully the day will go by quick.

My BF and I discovered Ruby tuesday's last night. They have a ton of low carb choicess. I was surprised. We had decided to go there on our way grocery shopping and was planning on just getting a quick salad. We ended up getting veggies and dip, and each got a petite sirloin. I got 2 sides of salad and he got salad and zucchini. Not bad for $29 and it was pretty tasty. Any RT's also list the calorie/fat/net carb/ and fiber content in the meal. It's nice that they so many places are tuning in that so many people are whatching their weights these days. Even at the grocery store, there are alot more low carb friendly option.

Well my dad's surgery went well yesterday. Won't know if the tumor is malignant or benign for a few days, maybe even a week. Keepingmy fingers crossed.

Have a wonderful day ladies!

Morning all! Hope your Friday is going well. I'm pretty happy that it's TGIF. The little one's been waking me up all week and I hope the weekend will bring more sleep! LC and Jodi have a terrific time at the race! I hope you're able to meet up. Be sure to fill us in. Ruth I'm so glad your baby is home. Enjoy! Jennie, I had the tailbone cyst. It is so awful and to be pregnant with it. Oh My, you poor thing. Don't worry though, the surgery to remove has gotten much better since I had mine removed. Try to find a doc to remove it with a co2 laser. Much, much better than traditional. Hope it clears up soon for you. Happy Friday to you Mama, Kiko and Shequila and all yet to arrive. Love you all! Coffee!!!!

It's early day for Job #1 today....DF is in the shower. He's got an interview to paint some apartment complex or something. Hey, it's money. I'm thinking about selling my car and taking over payments on his first car.....have to find out how much is left on it first, then talk to my dad about it. I don't have a lot of $ left for bills after the ones I already have/have taken over, so I'll leave it up to Dad to help me figure it out.

Dad's 58th birthday went well yesterday. He thoroughly enjoyed his Nautica Wallet that DF and I got him (TJ Max is a wonderful thing.) Now just have to figure out what to get Mom for hers....she'll be the big 5-0 on Monday! I hate working alone....today and tomorrow.....ugh. Fortunately I have enough things to do to keep me busy.

Well, anyway, need to go use the restroom in hopes of dropping some weight (cough) since I'm toward the end of week3 PH1 and haven't dropped a pound since last week. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! I know as soon as I complain about it, I'm going to drop 2 lbs and be happy again, but geez. If I drink any more water I feel like I will explode.

Girls have a good day!

Default Hello there!!!

How are ya all doing!

Jodi, have a great weekend! Enjoy some bonding time.

Ruth, you really need to be in charge, not the pups. You see I have always been in charge....dog, cats, dh, children....I'm just in charge............Ya right!

Well, I think I must of eaten a bad piece of chicken because for two days I've been worshipping the porcelain gods...if ya know what I mean??..... I get to work the ER this weekend, one of those days with the slowest most foulmouthed doc on the planet. Not looking forward to that. I'm going to have to have the right food on hand. Working with her causes me to stress eat.

Jenne, congrats on all the workouts. You are my hero.

Ellis, where have you been? I'm still waiting for you to show up on my doorstep.....I can't even remember why now....oh, ya, the bracelet.

Mama, I hope you have plans to rest this weekend. No vein vampiring!

All others, ya know I love ya more than my luggage! Have a great OP weekend! For a treat, try some ff/sf pudding with some peanuts in it! Yummy!

Back in after breakfast, a bath and journalling.

Yes, my Girls can be very demanding in the morning, RNMOM, but I prefer to let them out for potty as soon as they holler rather than face the alternatives.

Hey, SIL. Welcome back! how does your gorgeous garden grow?

It's a decent day today for a change although it'll be hot later on. I am going to put on my knee tensor thing and do some easy gardening - no digging! I am also going to try a slow walk down to the market for the newspaper. I have to get back in regular routines again!

It looks like we are all in for a busy TGIF! Enjoy!

Morning, guys! Lots of activity this morning. I was woken up this morning an hour before my alarm to find out my son had wet the bed. It doesn't happen often and I knew he was thirsty last night but I really didn't feel like stripping a bed at 5 this morning (and I couldn't get back to sleep). Oh, well, guess DH will be doing laundry today. At least that is one advantage of having a husband who is out of work!

I'm still stuck at 179 this morning. I was lower on Tuesday but I figure my body has to get used to being without the diuretic. I'm drinking lots of water and my BP is great so I'm not going to worry (at least not too much )

Just a quick hello this morning!! Have an interview here at work shortly.

Kickboxing had a different instructor last night. She did a lot of abs. OUCH. But after having twins, I have no ab muscles left so I guess no pain, no gain.

Have a wonderful OP day everyone!! I'll be back later in the day.

Hello all!

Hope your morning has gone by well. Mine has been interesting, to say the least....

This morning I'm sitting at my desk and my co-worker's phone rings. She's not here yet, so I answer, and her fiance is on the phone freaking out, telling me it's an emergency and he thinks he's having a heart attack. I try to calm him down and have another co-worker call 911 and after about 5 minutes, my friend/coworker shows up, I put her on the phone with her fiance, and then she leaves to go back home. She calls later saying that the ambulance has taken him to the hospital and that she'll keep me posted, but she doesn't think it was a heart attack. Still haven't heard anything.....

So by 9 am this morning I was emotionally drained (I had a crying jag to release the stress) and my sugar and fat craving has come back tenfold--I'm a major stress eater. Just needed to get this out and ask for some support--I don't want to eat bad stuff for me!

On a lighter note (ha ha, no pun intended), I stepped on the scale and have lost 5 lbs FINALLY! At last I'm starting to see some results!

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy day,

Bethany
