I think the black are sweeter, but if you get them bottled or in some kind of water, the green would have a higher sodium content. I just searched the GFGCG several times and can't find olives at all! Just olive oil. I'm sure someone else (Ruth?) will find it for you...sorry, LC!

During phase 1 I ate pretty much the same thing most days:
B: 1 cup beans, 1/4 cup home made salsa, lowfat cheese 1/2 cup skim milk
s: 1/2 cottage cheese with ground flax seeds
L: big salad with lots of veggies. A protein, either stir fried chicken breast with lots of veggies or more beans or a hard boiled egg on the salad. With salad dressing.
S: carrot/celery sticks with laughing cow cheese wedge
D: Bean soup or chili. Or more stir fried chicken breast with lots of veggies.
After dinner 1/2 cup ricotta cream

Olives are listed under fat in the GFGCGuide. Both kinds are "good".

Laurie Do you eat the pickle and the peanut butter together as a snack?????

These are great idea- this is my 6th week on SBD and there are several new things I am going to try. I have to have variety or I get bored.

I notice the popularity of the Peanut Butter Cup. I just ran out of fudgesicles last night, DANG!

Ruth, you are always able to find this stuff! Who would have guessed that they'd be under fat? I would have thought fruit...but I was wrong! Thanks for finding them!

Kiko, I sure do! Cold dill pickles with natural peanut butter on them. Perfect combo and very delish, IMHO! I realize that they aren't considered a delicacy by most other people, though. Good for pregnant women, I would assume... You and I should get together for dessert...I have an extra box of fudgesicles in the freezer, but no PB and next to no cool whip...eek!

Sarah, your menu is interesting...I'll have to try that for breakfast! However, I think we're only allowed 1/2 cup of bean a day, total, and we can't have carrots in Phase 1. Just in case any newbees are reading the menu and get confused. Ruth, am I right on that bean amount?
