Default Weekends :(

How do you get through the weekends?! Arggggg

During the week I stay perfectly OP, I dont know if I am just more busy and don't think much about food but as soon as friday night hits here come the cravings and I just want to EAT!

Like tonight we went to walmart to grab a few things and I walked past the nutty bars and candy bars and I about went mad! So instead I bought some Splenda sweetned fudge bars and that did help and man they were gooooood.

But now I am worried about tomorrow and sunday and getting through those days.

I am still on phase 1, started monday and have done great so far and I want to stay doing great! Its just these dang weekends that get me with any diet it seems.

Skinnymini,

We are in the SAME boat. We started the same day...and yesterday was TOUGH for me. Friday nights were normally pizza and wine night. I think the reason that it was so challenging for me was that I didn't PLAN! I didn't have any super alternative to the pizza/wine for me to enjoy. I was feeling quite sorry for myself. BUT...I perservered. I made a delicious salmon/egg/pepper/onion saute and had that with some leftover edamame salad. For DH...I made his creamed peas to put over the salmon to imitate the salmon patty/creamed peas he loved as a kid. So....I think the key is to PLAN...and make sure take the time to plan some terrific meals so you don't feel short-changed.

Good luck...WE CAN do this!

I'm sure there's another thread on this. I'll find it and bump it up. Since I'm retired, life is just one very long weekend so I can't help much.

Eating out is the hardest! Last night we ate Indian. All that white rice! Back OP today, I am going for a longer walk than normal then probably go to the gym to get rid of it all.

The Walmart has yummy candies that are sugar free they are Baskin31Robins sugar free candy. They have assorted flavours as well as mint chocolate chip. I pop one of those in my mouth to keep it busy.

Eating out is the toughest. Friday I didn't eat much all day, just little meals, because I knew we'd go out that night. I had an awesome pasta trio with lasana, canneloni and manecotti, plus salad of course. It was so awesome! So rich and cheesy!

But I don't like to do that too often cause I hate having to starve the rest of the day. Plus I know cheating will not help my weight loss. So it's only for a weekend treat.

Now it's Monday, and I'm off the weekend splurges. I'm back on the beach 100%!
