Default TOM question...

So I'm in the 2nd week of Phase I and wouldn't you know I'm due to start this weekend. Monday was my first weigh in and I was down 4lbs and feeling great. Then, in a matter of a day, I'm back up to what I started at but haven't cheated once! I'm hoping that it's just water retention and not acutaly weight. I'm a little nervous because it's made me question whether I'm actually OP or not. Does anyone else have this problem or any suggestions as to what to do for bloating and water retention?

Thanks, hope everyone is having a great day.

I, too, go up on the scale when TOM approaches. It's still here, as a matter of fact!! (GRRRRR) I would just wait it out, still OP, and then see where you are. I have not discovered any remedy for water retention....

The only remedy for water retention is to drink more water.
That damned guy TOM should be exiled from The Beach!

No truer words have been spoken Ruthie. SlimShelly I used to gain between 5-7 pounds a day or so before TOM, but I find the longer I have been on SBD the less I seem to gain. I am due to start as well the first of the week and so far no gain. As I say this I am hoping that I don't curse myself and gain 10 pounds over the week-end. Don't let it get you down. One of the wonderful things about being a women.

I've found the solution after much research:

Become a man.

How come THEY don't have to worry about stuff like that? Jerks!

I used to gain 5 lbs pre TOM...since I've been on SBD, I don't seem to be...I do get bloated & feel fat, but the weight gain isn't there.
Has anyone else noticed that their "flow" (sorry to be graphic) is diminished as well?
I have been much lighter since OP.

I am on my second TOM since startin SBD and have lost both weeks even though I started. The crampin and such has been much less along with the rest. Thank goodness. It seems the older I get the worse it was getting!

Thanks for all of your responses. I haven'te started yet but I stepped on the scale (while crossing my fingers) this morning and I'm back to 147lbs. which is what my first 1 week weigh in was. Hopefully by Monday I'll have at least lost a little more. As long as I don't gain, I'm happy! Thanks again.
