Default New to the Beach, where to put my chair

I too am a former WW person. This is the first time I've tried anything other than WW, but I'm hoping I will be successful with this. Heart Disease is a true concern of mine and like I read somewhere in here before - you can be on WW and have cheesecake for lunch and still be "on program" and not necessarily be eating healthy.

I have a two year old daughter and a nineteen year old son and I work full-time. I'm trying to drag my hubby to the beach. I think he will be joining me soon.

You all are so supportive of eachother and I've been telling everyone I know about this web-site since I found it a few weeks ago.

Thanks for being here!!!!

Welcome!! I am a reformed WW-er myself! (that was a long time ago..) I'm also a reformed Atkins-er!

This way of eating is great. It's very forgiving, like WW, and not nearly as strict as something like Atkins. Yeah, you have to give up the bread and fruit for a while, but it's totally worth it, and when you're full swing and at goal, you can eat "normally" with a much lower risk of things like heart disease and diabetes associated with refined foods, etc.

I know that since I've been on it, the days I've managed not to cheat, I feel HEALTHY. I eat more veggies now than ever before and have way more energy. I am the chocoloate chip cookie monster, and when I'm OP, the cravings subside big time. It's pretty remarkable. This board is a wonderful resource and full of great advice and even greater chicks!!
