Talking Two Weeks Smoke Free!

I just had to share...yesterday made 2 smoke free weeks for me! I am so pleased and proud. Okay, maybe not about the 3-5 pounds that found me, but I can live with that, right?

Still sucking on nicotine lozenges, but not as many as before. I keep thinking about the hard time I am having staying OP and blaming it on quitting, but I've been through this before and always found my way back! So I'll get back on track and feel better than ever!

Thanks so much for the many kind words of support and encouragement! You guys are the BEST!

Franny, major and congratulations. Good for you! The 3-5 pounds will disappear soon and so will the damage to your lungs. Quitting smoking is one of the ebst things you can do for yourself. I think it's even better than losing weight!

Franny
You can always lose weight, much harder to lose the effects of smoking......As a daughter of a smoker who had cancer and an ex-smoker, this is the GREATEST thing you will ever do for yourself and your kids....

Go Franny!!!!!!!

Franny, I am so proud of you!!! Like others have said, don't worry right now about the few pounds that have crept back, staying away from the cigarettes is more important, and the weight will come back off!! You are doing great!!!!!! Keep up the good job!!!

Congratulations - you are doing a wonderful thing for yourself. The pounds will come back off, too. I quit cold turkey 4 years ago and gained - 40 pounds before coming to my senses. Only 13 more to go to be back where I was. The doctor said the weight was better for me than the cigarettes but it had to go soon. Food just tastes so good when you don't smoke!
