I was gonna join, but my headache from the pits has subsided....
Now however, I have discovered that Aunt Flo came for her monthly visit......*groan*, if it's not one pain it's another. No wonder I wanted chocolate so much today!!! LOL, oh well.

I'm having terrible PMS symptoms right now....and some serious cramps. I think I'm heading into perimenopause (even though I don't want to admit I'm getting to that age), because the last few months have been "abnormal" in one way or another. Ah well, the "joys" of being a woman!

I can totally relate 2dog...as I just started having night sweats, whats up with that?

It means if you're thinking of ever having children, you'd better get on it right away. :D I've been getting night sweats for the last year, Sflake.

They are awful aren't they? I swore someone turned the heat up to 500 degrees, no such luck. Does anything help? other than sleeping necked out in the yard :D

Nah, no kids for us except the four legged kind. Every once in a while I do get a pang then I just borrow my beautiful 6 year old nephew and poof it goes away :lol:

I am really sorry but I can't relate to menpause symptoms. Back in t eh days when it was OK, I did the HRT thing. Worked like a charm. Sure I had a few night sweats but I just told Brucie to move over and flipped off the covers. :lol:

Hmmmm - maybe we need a place on the Beach for menopausal chicks. Absolutely normal, chickies!
Of course I come from the era where we treated this crap with HRT - which I stopped when the current scare began - absolutely no withdrawal symptoms. (They have asked me to be in the Santa Parade because of my beard! :lol: )

I thought the sweats were my imagination, but I've tried all sorts of combinations of blankets, clothing, etc. Some nights it's so bad that I wake up completely soaked and have to change my clothes. And either sleep elsewhere, or put a towel on my wet side of the bed. :(

I was convinced that I would NOT go through menopause, and that it was simply a figment of women's imaginations. :D

Thats what happened my hair looked like I just came out of the shower...even all the bedding was wet and had to be changed. Thought I was gonna die...naturally dh slept thought the entire thing and when he did wake up wanted to know why I was on the couch :lol:

I'm with you Ellis, I always though it was in your mind and you could control it if you wanted to...boy was I wrong. I think I read someplace that soy helped, gonna have to check it out and do some research.

Night sweats is one thing that I actually have yet to experience (and hope I never do). We have a walk-in refrigerator at work, and you can always tell who's having a hot flash by who you find standing in the refrigerator. :lol: I won't be surprised one day to find a bench in there!

My Mom went through menopause without even batting an eye. She told me that she wouldn't even have known she was in menopause if her periods hadn't stopped. Lucky Lady!!

This darn perimenopause stuff stinks!! I've been PMSing for almost two weeks now, and no sign of...well....you know....so it's late again. I long for the days when I could tell you almost to the hour when it was going to arrive....yep, I was that regular, and loved it.

Sflake, the other night my DH said to me, "It doesn't smell very good on YOUR side of the bed." :rolleyes: Night sweats, honey. Can't change the sheets EVERY damned day!

My Mom was the same. The only thing she suffered during menopause was a nervous breakdown. heh heh.
And periods? She had my sister at the age of 41 1/2. AND NEVER HAD ANOTHER PERIOD! Imagine! BANG! Last egg.

My sister is a year older than I am and so far nothing, no symptoms whatsoever. I always teased her, haha you'll be first. It just figures thats my luck in a nutshell. Truthfully I am glad for her the poor thing has enogh health problems.

Oh, Sflake... :( How IS your sister? Does she find the winter particularly difficult?

Actually the winter is a good time for her, body heat and all. Right now she is going thru a tough time with a migraine. Thanks for asking.

She needs a coffee (I forget what it does to the bloodcells...) and a little lavender pillow. And fresh air. And about five Advil.

Thanks sweetie. Humm lavender I didn't even think of that! I will get some today. Unfortunately she can't take advil I forget why and for this one tylenol will not work.

She has gobs of pain killers but they just really take the edge off. That and lots of ice packs. She gets botox injections in her head to reduce the frequency. Although she is looking less wrinkled lately :lol:

I hate seeing her like this her whole face just kind of caves in and she is such a beautiful girl. They usually take a few days to go away but she still has shots to do in the meantime its just breaks my heart. I wish I could take her pain away. Sorry to go on and on but I will absolutely get some lavender.

Can my doggy, Goldie, visit the sick bay? Yesterday morning, he just wasn't acting like himself! He was restless and had those big SAD eyes. We took him to the vet where after an examination, we were told his might have found an old bone outside. He couldn't "pass" it and the vet advised we give him an enema.:D I told the vet we weren't going there! So, Goldie stayed at the vets and they did what they had to do. He came home last night with mineral oil and antibiotics. He was so sad. He got a nice warm supper and slept well. Today, he got a bit of egg so that I could get the medication into him and he seems all right. The tail thumps when I go into the kitchen.:) Later, I'm putting him outside so he can do what he has to do and maybe get some exercise.

One of the downsides of living in a rural area is that he tours the land and brings home treasures like deer bones and other unspeakables.:(

Of course we allow sick doggies and other ailing pets on the Beach! I hope Goldie makes a speedy recovery. Sick animals are so sad.

Sflake-Sorry to hear your sister is having a rough time. Lavendar is VERY soothing, and will help!!

Tippy-OH THE INDIGNITY!!! I'd be miffed too if I'd just been given an enema!!! Hope Goldie feels more perky soon!!!

Augh, a sick doggie. I just hate it when my pets are sick. Sending healing vibes out to little Goldie. :goodvibes:
