Good morning,

Another wfh day for me, have a couple of conference calls and some more reports to finish up. DD2 has an ortho appt after school and then tonight DH and I are going to next town over for a It's a Wonderful Life dinner show. First time we are trying this, hopefully it will be fun.

Schmoodle always seems like there is something to take care of with houses.

Jekel hope you find what you are looking for

Ruth glad you got your car back and sounds like you have a busy weekend

to everyone else

Have a great day everyone!

I actually called the sergeant off duty as it was driving me crazy. He had everything I needed, thank goodness. I apologized for bothering him off duty, he laughed and said he does it to me all the time. HUGE relief. Maybe the scale will let go of my stress weight tomorrow lol. Please let us know how the dinner goes. Sounds like fun.

Hope today I will be motivated to hit the gym after work. I’ve been riding indoors, but I seem to push myself more at the gym. All the running around this week is wearing me out LOL. I cant handle a busy social life.

Have a great day!

Hello
Home from work. An extra day helps we spent a lot of money 💰 in Alaska. Had a massage afterwards. I bought a massage a month awhile back. It was a special deal and good self care. Don't know what's on the agenda next few days. Awfully cold. Guess we will have an early dinner. I have good stuff in the fridge.

So you all tomorrow.

Hey chicks. I guess I didn't post yesterday when I checked in. Busy days right now (always) but I managed to do my workout tape when I got home today so that's good. Food has been so-so; I bought a cookbook from Cooking Light which is makeovers of favorite recipes. I still tweak things to make them more SB but so far the pot pie and tuna casserole were good. Tonight we are trying turkey tetrazzini with leftover turkey breast from Sunday. I'm trying not to gain weight between now and the New Year.

We've got snow for the next few days but hopefully it will only be a few inches. The snow belt just south of me is slated for 1-2 feet and I am not ready for that yet!

Have a good evening chicks!

Good morning!

A quick check in here this morning. I have the day off but last night my best girlfriend asked me to drive to Nebraska with her today to look at and probably bring home a puppy. She lost her 16-year-old dog at the beginning of the week and I'm in agreement that the best thing to do is just get another one. I did look before I gave her an answer and it's a reputable breeder so I'm OK with that even though I like rescue best. It's a 4 Hour Dr. one way so I would imagine we will be home by mid evening. We're leaving in about half an hour to get through Denver before rush-hour traffic.

Beth, I should revisit my recipe rescue cookbook. Are used to make things out of that and my favorite was the mac & cheese recipe which I did post on our site many years ago.

Have a great Thursday everyone!

Good morning,

The dinner show was fantastic, won't talk about food porn. It will definitely be a new tradition and bring some of the kids with us next year. Today is back to Phase 1 for a couple of days to undo yesterdays damage. I have several conference calls today and that is it for agenda. I do need to run to Wally world to pick up a gift that came in.

Jekel glad you found what you were looking for, drives me crazy when I can't find something

Beth that sounds good I need to try some new recipes to switch things up or go back to old ones that I haven't made in a while

Debbie sounds like you have a fun day ahead, safe travels

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning from fairly balmy Delta. This is supposed to change for the weekend with a normal dump of snow. We have a craft show at the Town Hall and the usual Saturday Church dinner for folks who come to see the lights. Beef stew this week - the ingredients will be waiting for me when we get home tomorrow afternoon. Crockpot time overnight for eight households in the village. We expect 200.

Still holding the line weightwise but it sure is a struggle - as I'm sure you all know. If I am down a pound or two by January 1, I'd be delighted but it would have to be a Christmas miracle. After non-lunch today we are ditching the doggage in a kennel and going to Ottawa for a dinner party and to stay overnight in the guest suite at my sister's classy condo. There will be 20 of us and the meal is catered. Pray for me. Breakfast is booked at a trendy west end diner and I sure hope to be on the road home by later morning to save some of my Friday. Enjoy the lead-up

Time to crank up my morning and maybe get a parcel ready for the mail before we take off. No shortage of things to do these days!

Enjoy the segue into the weekend!

Hey Chicks!

I'm in agreement with everyone: this time of year brings lots to do and sooooooo many opportunities to eat! I am trying hard not to gain weight but I don't know if there is any hope of losing this month.

Debbie, it was nice of you to go with your friend to get a puppy. Hope you had a good trip.

Pearlrose, we went to a dinner theater several years ago. It was a mystery play, with the different acts being separated by the different food courses. It was fun.

Ruth, so far we have only had a dusting of snow but we may get a few more inches overnight. I stopped at the post office after school today and the line was quite long.

Have a good evening, everyone.

Good Evening chicks,

This past days has been super busy. I been helping at the middle school with their inauguration ceremony, which was yesterday. h Both of my boys where in it. DS1 with the orchestra and DS2 I am also helping with all the prep for the Winter celebration that will be tomorrow night. We had planned to do it in the court yard and we also planned to have a snow machine, but it seems that it is going to be raining so the celebration is going to have to be moved to the cafeteria At least we have a lot of other fun stuff prepare for the kids.

Today, I been up since 3am. Mom had a flight at 6am and was flight from a near town airport. She will be visiting my brother for a week. The fog this morning was terrible. I really don't like to drive when is dark, I get too nervous, but I made it safe and came back home on time to wake up the boys and have everything ready for them to go to school. I tried to had a nap this afternoon but wasn't able to do it, so I am going to bed at 9pm as soon as the boys go to bed.

Have a great night and stay warm!

Good morning,

I woke up at 2:30 a.m. and couldn't go back to bed so got up and did some work and worked out and then I did go back to sleep at 5:30 a.m. for an hour and now I am back up for work. It is cold out there in the teens no transition from balmy to freezing weather. Not sure what is on the agenda this evening. DD2 has to do caroling with the school downtown so we might go listen.

Isa hope you were able to get to sleep early last night.

Beth hopefully you didn't get more snow

Ruth I think we are all going to be lucky to hold our weight this month.

Have a great day everyone!

Happy Friday evening! Blustery today although barely any snow. I see some very cold weather in the near future but I guess it IS December.

Lots of steps at work today (although I probably don't match what Debbie must do!) and then did my Pilates; I am trying to re-kindle the workout habit after the last few weeks. I admit to having a glass of wine tonight but I am going to try hard to stay OP this weekend. I'm afraid there are temptations in the freezer waiting for Christmas but I will do my best to avoid them. Here's hoping for no gain before Christmas.

See y'all tomorrow.

First and Last!

Good morning. We have light snow flurries this morning. Hopefully it will get me in t he mood to do some cleaning and finish my decorating. I never seem to find time to do household chores on work days. Other than that I will use some energy fighting temptations.

What's on your agenda today?

Good morning,

I slept in til 8 a..m. needed it. Today is going to be coloring my hair, doing chores and going shopping with DD1 and looking at her computer. DH has basketball game tonight he is going with friends so I don't need to go. It is super cold but the snow missed us this time instead it hit my relatives in Gulfport, MS and Atlanta, crazy they got snow before us. (Okay crazy that they got snow in the first place)

Beth sounds like you are doing good avoiding temptations I am trying to do the best I can do, we went downtime last night and I avoided the free cookies but did have a small cup of apple cider.

Have a great everyone!

Hello! Taking a break from cleaning for tea and watching the snow fall. I cannot handle pulling out Christmas stuff until I get this house in order. So that's my job this weekend. Foodwise I'm doing well but still no scale but that's probably a good thing for me not to get too obsessed with the number.
This morning I looked out my window to see a bunch of guys in my backyard taking down my huge maple tree. The tree was starting to lean on my neighbour's garage and I was trying to budget it in but I guess they decided to take care of it. So I'm trying to decide if I'm mad they took down my tree without telling me or relieved it's done. I guess if we had a big storm I could have ended buying them a new garage, so I'm leaning towards relieved.
Next week will be brutal, I'm hosting a conference so long commutes and long days, so I'd better get some food prep done. I've got to get DD home from college somehow too. I think I'll try to find a movie to watch tonight with a glass of wine.
