Hello-Newbie

  • Hi, my name is Isabel, I joined this forum years ago, but I was never active. I want to lose about 60lbs, but right now my number one goal is to get my sugar/carb cravings under control. A few years ago I did SBD with great results but long story short I gained all the weight back in less than a year. This time I'm not looking for quick fixes, I want to eat healthy and feel good all the time. I need help and accountability. I'm married and mom of two a boys (11 & 13) who are always hungry.

  • Good morning Isa and welcome back. Checking in has been great for me losing and maintaining. SB is completely manageable lifestyle. The recipe section is wonderful, but if you are like me you will keep making your favorites lol. My eating is pretty routine from week to week, but so am I lol. We have weekly and weekend threads where we check in. Not always SB related. Feel free to post menus too. Sometimes its good to have others critique your food choices / amounts if you get stuck.

    Hey Isabel! I'm in the middle of my journey. I have roughly the same stats as you. I've lost about 37 lbs so far and am over the half-way mark. Jump on in and join the chit chat. I'm here most days as I try not to bombard any one person in my life with my obsession over all of this.
  • Welcome - I too have been here and gone over the years. But I've kept off the 60+ pounds I've lost over the last two years but I have about 20 or so to go.
