Fly-by post since my contractor's painter showed at 8 to paint the upstairs hall. So much for a quiet day! This was unexpected but Paul did say he was giving Shawn my to do list. See you later.

Good morning!

Yay, Ruth, for a project to cross off the list even if it starts too early.

Rose, still keeping my fingers crossed!

Beth, ouch for frost that has to be scraped off. Inevitable, but I'm not looking forward to it.

We had just started on the project yesterday and I got called into work. It was nothing I could do about it. Kirk was lightly miffed so I said I would split tips with him. He got 20 I got 20. Oh well. I got a few earlybird things done in the yard this morning and will start painting soon. It's another beautiful day. This too, shall pass.

Hey chicks! Another quiet evening at home; always a nice thing after a busy day.

Jennifer, hope you are enjoying your training. Good job on the food choices! It is hard when you are not in control of the cooking.

Pearlrose, yes, the Robotics team has a competition in December. Our robot will compete against other teams to put plastic pucks into a grid of cubbies. The scoring is tricky but I am optimistic about having some young talent this year. Thinking of DD as she waits for her results.

Ruth, since I live out in the country we really don't get many trick or treaters. When my kids were little we took them into the village where there are sidewalks and houses close to each other! Glad your painting needs are getting addressed. Did you get snow today?

Debbie, I am glad you had good weather and were able to do some chores even though you got called into work.At least yesterday it warmed up after the frosty morning; today it stayed cold and we ended up with a dusting of wet snow this afternoon.

Stay warm, chicks and have a good evening.

Good morning and brrrrrr! Checked the thermostat a few minutes ago and found that I had set the AC to 17ēC! Fixed that in a hurry and retired with my coffee to the back room to bask in the warmth of the propane stove out there. The outside temperature is right at freezing - not a good start to a busy day.

Yesterday kind of fell apart on me. Sean was here until five and so was the guy who clears the eavestroughs. Sean got lots of niggles done for me and told me to set up a "Honey Do " list since it can be work for rainy days. Today he plans to paint the upstairs hall and stairwell which he prepped yesterday. Paul is treating his crew to a few days "off" next week when they go up north to hunt. All nice local guys and he treats them right.

I am off to Brockville mid-morning for a haircut and minor shop. Still have a bit of missed hemming to do and things to pack for the wedding in Toronto. The dogs go to the kennel late afternoon and then it'll be early bed for me as I have to drive to Kingston early for the train. The weather forecast is for above normal temperature but with rain - at least that will be better than the cold and snow we got yesterday.

Have a happy day!

Good morning!

Ruth, sorry for a day that sort of fell apart. Especially when you are trying to get ready for traveling. I hope today is better!

Rose, I hope your meeting is smooth and you were home soon! Still keeping my fingers crossed for DD!

Beth, how interesting about the robotics! Me, no clue.

I am sitting outside waiting for the sun to rise.. We have a balmy 52° and it's supposed to be 80 in Denver today. I have to go down later for my meeting and to take my mom to get her hearing aid fixed. I'd like to get as much done as possible and it should start happening soon!

Have a great day everyone!
