Default Hump Day Again? July 20

Not a huge hump today as the Fair is pretty much ready - today they will test the rides and at 4 folk will start arriving with their entries for the Homecraft judging which happens tomorrow morning! All I need to do today is finish the list of the schoolwork winners and post it and that can always go up first thing tomorrow morning, well before the judging starts.

Sure was great to have a cooler day yesterday but we're heading into hot and humid starting tomorrow for the four Fair Days. The AC in this house will get a good workout and the electric bill will sure show it.

This morning will be an at home day but I'll be on the road later with a quilt delivery and then a foot care appointment at the clinic. Early bed tonight since tomorrow the Fair noise starts and there will be a steady stream of traffic down my road.

Do something fun today!

P.S. The Fair Noise has already started. The Township crew are banging away installing No Parking signs on both sides of my road. Here we go while this quiet little Village gears up for the invasion of Fair goers.

Good morning,

It is a rainy morning here, hopefully the sun will come out today, it is going to be another hot and humid day as well. Today is wfh, I do have several conferences calls and am taking my test for the class from last week this morning.

Ruth how long does the fair last, I can only do crowds for a bit and then need a break.

Have a great day everyone!

Pearl, I'm with you on crowds! That's partly the reason I get the school stuff judged and displayed before the Fair starts tomorrow. It closes at 8 Sunday evening. Then it's clang-clang-clang as they take down and pack up the rides to go on to the next Fair. They'll be roaring out under my bedroom window around 1 a.m.

Good morning!

Ruth, enjoy your fair week in small doses. I still remember the year when I was a big mudhole.

Pearlrose, Nice to get to stay home and work today.

I am more work from home today, too. When my friend gets up we're going to start on my mom's roof of her trailer. I might just have one more cup of coffee and get going on some prep work. It's going to get really hot really fast. Possibility of thunderstorms late this afternoon so we really want to move forward.

to all!

Good morning, chicks!

Ruth, I must convince DH to come up to the fair one of these years. Have a good day and stay cool.

Pearlrose, not that I am in a profession where it is an option, but I could never figure out if wfh would be a good or bad thing for me. I am easily distracted.

These are the blueberry recipes I tried:

http://www.kalynskitchen.com/2009/07...wheat-and.html

DH thought they needed a bit more sweetener but he put a drop of maple syrup on them and pretended they were pancakes.

This one was the winner and great for this time of year when the zucchini start in full force:

I will have to freeze most of the loaf for portion control!

Have a good hump day, chicks.

Morning all. No humo day for me as it's technically my Monday.

Ruth glad you at least have one comfortable day for the fair. I don't do well in crowds, lol gee I wonder why. Hope you enjoy the fair.

Beth, when I make zucchini bread, I make them muffins instead. One slice always leads to two or three for me. Yet I can control myself when they are muffins. I get easily distracted too.

Pearlrose what is the test for / on? Good luck!!!

Debbie replacing the roof on the trailer??? Now that's incredible!!! You could have your own home improvement show. Glad you have help.

Back to the daily grind here. Food is all prepped for the week. Work out complete. Even had time for laundry before work. I know the exciting life I lead lol.

Enjoy the last comfortable day before the big heat wave moves in.

So hot here today... as much as i love summer, i find it harder to eat healty... I never want to cook or have hot hearty meals. So, i end up eating lots of salads... and as much as i love salad, i tend to get burn out on it when eating them every single day (some times twice aday) along with my yogurt and smoothies... ah well, lol, thats my rant for the day.... hope every one has a fun hump day, enjoy the sunshine and blue skies.
