Default Fergedaboutit Friday! June 24

It's been a busy and somewhat frustrating week - I'll spare you the details except to say that I am darned glad it's nearly over.

The schoolwork tags are still not here. If they do arrive this morning, I'll be doing deliveries to the schools this afternoon. If not, I'll be spending the weekend making homemade tags to take to the schools first thing Monday morning.

Paul used the "thumb-in-the-bum" management technique yesterday and the missing subcontractors showed up. Looks like a two day job is stretched to a week. Might have known that would happen when the bass season opened last weekend! Fall deerhunting is another goof-off holiday. Duck hunting is in there somewhere too.

The good part of yesterday was a visit from Milo and his momma Liz. He started down the Hill to visit my two pups. Liz intercepted and carried him down for a great - and gentle - reunion. Milo sure can't run or walk much but his tail works and nearly fell off from the wagging.

OK - finish the coffee, prep lunch salad stuff and let the universe unfold as it should today!

Good morning!

Coffee is on! It's a beautiful day! Especially wonderful, since the forecast rain did not happen yesterday. My friend and I went and covered the rest very well anyway because we are running out of time. I will go take all the plastic off early this morning and today is the day to put the roof on. We have a third helper today. I'm so grateful. I was getting really concerned about the weather.

Other than that, life is good. I don't know if I mentioned that my friend I brought over from Glenwood went back over after her time in Denver. She really wanted money and I had planned to have her do a lot of work around here. Oh well. She's kind of bummed now that she made that hasty decision but I'm not going to make a great effort to change that. I've just decided that I will attack one small thing every day and try to get my house back in order. I wish Michelle lived closer. LOL

I look forward to hearing from everyone! Have a great day!

Hi Ruth! I'm loving hearing how Milo is doing. I love those little wagging tails! Sorry for the bummer of a week. I hear ya on the contractors. I get so frustrated with these rental projects. It's not what I want to do at all! But, finding someone reliable to show up in a timely fashion just never happens here. My projects are always some crisis that needs to be dealt with so sitting around for a week waiting for someone just doesn't work. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your school tags show up!

Good morning Ruth and Debbie! Another beautiful morning here...sipping my coffee and enjoying it.

Sorry you ladies have contractor complaints. Lucky for me my gardener showed up promptly yesterday.....of course I was the gardener. lol I got some weeding and trimming done but there is always more. The weeds grow so fast in May and June that when school ends I feel like I'm way behind.

So today will be some errands (there's a special on chicken breast at the store!!) and I'm sure more time in the yard. We have some blueberry bushes ready to cover with netting but I want to do some weeding first.

Good luck on the roof today, Debbie!

Ruth, hope you don't have to make homemade tags!

TGIF, chicks.

Good morning Beth! As I read I was excited to hear your gardener showed up. Then I read more. LOL! Right on! I'd like to just have time to get in the garden. I would love to plant some blueberry bushes, too. Maybe next year. Enjoy your day!

Good morning, barely lol.

Ruth and Debbie Joe has had mostly headaches from contractors building the house. Believe me I can appreciate your frustrations. Hope all your projects go smoothly today.

Beth we have the same Gardner lol. Except mine bailed to go for a walk/jog this morning. I just didn't feel like riding and laced up the sneakers instead.

There is a lot of crap (that is the nicest word I could think of) at work. I'll spare you the details, but it is really weighing on my mind. So I know I really need to focus on me more and work less which isn't easy somedays. At least today I got outside checked out the neighborhood and burned some stress away.

Have a fun Friday all!
