Default Weary of Winter Wednesday, SBD Chat for 2/11

All I seem to want to do these days is sleep. I think bears are on to a good thing to hibernate all winter.

Hot coffee and a hot bowl of oatmeal will hopefully give me a kick-start, and thank goodness I don't have to battle any icy roads this morning!

You and me both, Cottage! And yesterday I figured out it's my electric throw keeping some symptoms at bay - I was going to not use it for a couple days, and gave up after a couple hours!

I better go feed the dog, she's staring at me....

Good morning! I'm loving the remote starter on my new little car. The car is sitting in warming up while I have my last cup of coffee. I got called into work today because my coworkers husband is in the hospital. Kirk's ex-wife leaves tomorrow. Stuff is still A mess and we're doing what we can do.

Happy Wednesday everyone, and yes, I am weary of winter here, too.

Good morning

back from the cold, cold northern ontario. On my arrival the temperature was -40c that is where c and f meet. They are a hardy bunch there and school goes on regardless of weather.
My daughter was glad to have the company and a bit of a break from cooking. Her dh is away 2 nights a week. I loved being with my 2 grandsons but but wish they lived closer because there is something to be said about sleeping in your own bed.
dd is on sort of cabbage craze. After 14 days I don't think I want to see cabbage again for awhile.
Debbie I hope the crisis is somehow solved soon.
everyone else have a good day.
have to go get my menu and routine organized.

Good morning,

We are headed into a cold spell again brrrr, will be glad when the temperatures rise again.

Cottage glad that you have no ice to battle. I am tired too I think it is because I cannot exercise right now but I think I will start my weights and sculpting and just leave out the weight bearing ones for legs.

Tywnn glad that the throw is helping some of your symptoms, my cat will knock stuff over if we don't get up and feed him when he wants us to.

Debbie hope the situation straightens out soon for everyone

Sophie sounds like you had a wonderful visit with your DD and GS.

Off to do the 8 a.m. call. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Yes, cold, snow, winter yuck here too. Today I'm heading down to Boston to see the babe and family. DD has a medical thing tomorrow so I'm babysitting while she and hubby are at the hospital. It took some juggling last minute because of the snow. Originally DH was going with me but there's no place to park. I actually lucked into a ride down then Tim will pick me up tomorrow night. Friday is a found day for us so heading off to a large plant conservatory and lunch out Friday. We need a change of pace.

Right now I need to get in gear. Have a half day of work to accomplish.

Good morning all! We are back from vacation and it was so wonderful! I made pretty good food choices and we did a bunch of walking. As of this morning I’m only up 3.5# from when we left and I’m hoping that with a lot of water today that I can get that down a bit more for my official weigh in tomorrow morning. The weather was wonderful on our cruise and the seas were pretty calm almost the whole time. Luckily we didn’t have weather issues when we left or when we came back home. I always worry when we travel in the winter that one way or the other will be a huge challenge. We live over an hour from the airport and it’s mostly rural driving so snowplows aren’t exactly descending on those roads in earnest!

Cottage - hibernating like a bear sounds like an awesome way to get through winter!

Tammy - we splurged on a heated blanket for our bed this Christmas and I think adding a throw for use at my desk would be a great idea! I just might need to go shopping. Do you have one you recommend?

Debbie - hopefully work will go quickly today and tomorrow will go smoothly. Praying for some relief for you!

Sophie - welcome back home!

Pearlrose - stay warm!!

Cyndi - be careful in the snow and ice! It seems like you all have had more than your share of icky weather this year so far! I'll keep my fingers crossed that warmer weather is on the way.

Well…I need to get some stuff done so I better get off the computer. Amazing how I can get on this little box and hours just disappear from my life!!

Everyone have an awesome day!

Good morning. Back to winter temps here but no snow.

I'm taking one of my co-worker's shifts tonight. Haven't thought through the rest of the day yet. Just booked hotel for our annual spring visit to visit DS1 in PA but am researching condo on airbnb. Pretty boring and routine here.

Gabby - I just went to the local discount store (Ollie's) and they had sunbeam electric throws for $25. I'm cheap .

I'm jumping in to this discussion! I am most definitely weary of winter, although it came a bit late this year. I have been consoling myself by making a point of noticing how much additional daylight we have.

I am also trying to maintain my focus with regards to my eating. I think my body is rebelling; I dropped weight on my focused P1 in January, but now that I am adding a few things back my weight it creeping up. I guess I need to get back on track of keeping better tabs on things; I find it too easy to mindlessly snack.

Anyway, have a great evening all!
