Good morning from not so frigid Delta. It's nearly tropical this morning with
+17コF. There was snow overnight and the dogs refused to go down the drifted steps to the yard so shovelling will be on my list first thing this morning. (I'll get dressed first - it's not
that balmy!)
Had a lovely visit yesterday morning with Lisa and wee Angus who is not so "wee" anymore. He is 13 pounds now which is what Jazz weighs. He comes to stay for a while on the 22nd when his folks go to Florida but we will work in a few more visits before then. We may even do a sleepover. I wonder if they will stay awake until after three, giggling and having pillow fights.
Once my lane is ploughed, I may go to town to try to buy some walking shoes per my chiropodist's instructions. Then she will make me orthotics to see if we can ease the foot pain. I also may make a quick venture into Fabricland to check out their sale. I am making a rabbit for Joanne's daughter - Usa Chan, I think - and need some interfacing for the ears. It's been a bit of a challenge as the pattern had to be enlarged.
Book club tonight at Norma's wee log Hobbit House in the forest. It really is a Hobbit House - the tall guys have to walk around a bit hunched over although I'm OK. Every time we meet at Norma's, it's snowing and she lives furthest away. Moel is bringing his van and is designated driver but I'm hoping the snow stops before then. Dark country roads are pretty miserable in a storm.
First light has arrived so I'd better get a move on and crank up the day. Sure glad I put the car is in the barn so I don't need to sweep the snow off it too.
Stay safe and warm, Beachers.
