So, I know that you're not supposed to weigh yourself everyday, but how quickly on phase 1 did you start losing weight?

I actually weighed myself every day during phase 1. I lost a pound the first day, one more the second, then it went down more slowly and some days I was up again a pound (and down the next).
The only issue I found with stepping on the scale every day is to not get discouraged when I don't lose or go up a bit. That is natural and can have a million reasons. So I think each as to know if it motivates them to step on the scale each day or if it's better to stick to 1, 2 days a week.

A seasoned (and maintaining) beacher reminded me of a fact very soon after I had started SBD. A pint of water weighs a pound. There is just so much room for fluxuations up and down on a daily basis. I think weighing/or not weighing is a personal decision. I personally hop on the scale everyday and watch the fluxuations from day to day. If I'm down .5 one day and up .5 the next I don't call it a loss or (especially) a gain. I watch for the downward trend over an extended period of time.

Best wishes!

How much weight do you have to lose? If it's 10 pounds, it might take the 2 weeks to get two off.

I'd weigh in every other day, if you can't wait until a week in. Most importantly, Don'T GeT DiSCOUragED!

I weigh myself once a week, I resist the temptaion to do it more than that because, like the others have already said, your weight fluctuates for various reasons (even with in a 12hr period)... which can make daily weigh-ins a disheartening expirence.

That being said, I weighed myself at the last day of my first week and I did see a loss.

And also it helps to take your measurements (if you havent already) becasue many people find that they seem to lose inches before pounds... and any loss is a good loss

remember, it's not just a number on the scale - are you feeling better? More energy? Are you exercising?

I never lose on Ph1 if I am exercising too but then at the end of the month I see a 5 pound loss!
