Cabbage Candy?
Yes, I said cabbage candy! Because that's what I felt like I was eating!! I made roasted cabbage for dinner last night, I couldn't stop eating it!! It's like I was a kid with candy. Who knew cabbage could be so flippin' delicious! My son even had second helpings of it, I felt like mother of the year!
I cut a head of cabbage into 8 wedges, sprayed a cookie sheet with olive oil spray. Sprayed the cabbage with the olive oil, sprinkled on a little bit of salt and a generous sprinkling of garlic powder. Baked at 350 for about 15 minutes, turned over, sprayed and sprinkled the other side...baked an additional 10 minutes. Then I put the broiler on low for about 3 minutes, cause I wanted them a little brown. D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!! :carrot: |
I discovered this last winter and couldn't believe I'd never tried it before. Two of us can wipe out a whole head of cabbage at dinner.
PS - welcome back! |
Thanks Cyndi! I agree...I could probably wipe out a whole head by myself...but I will control myself! ha ha And if I do happen to do that...well...there are worse things I could be shoving in my face ;)

Cabbage is one of those foods that people have no idea how delicious it can be. Same with kale.
And roasting veggies is my new favorite thing - locks in the flavor - YUM! I like grilling them too in warmer months. |
Mmmmmm....maybe we should have a cabbage party together?!?! :D

As long as it's not boiled, I like cabbage! I like red cabbage in my salads. :) That sounds delicious though, I'll have to keep it in mind. :) (Most nights it's just the daughter and I, and I can be more adventurous then with food)
