Default Starvation Mode & Calorie Intake

Does anyone know how long it takes your body to go into starvation mode? I can't seem to eat more than 1,000 calories per day - I'm usually around 6 - 800. I'm drinking LOTS of water and that's keeping me full.

I don't want to go into starvation mode, but I feel like it's inevitable. I keep getting the warning when I complete my day on MFP.

"starvation mode" may be a myth, but metabolic adaptation is VERY real.. it will happen inevitably, however, the severity and consequences and speed vary individually.

Id be willing to bet you are eating more than that and dont realize it.
the vast VAST majority, even of seasoned calorie counters, severely underestimate their food intake!
Are you weighing your food on a digital scale, or using measuring cups or eyeballing portion sizes? Using portion control "deck of cards=chicken portion" kind of method?
Are you using "pre-packaged" meal items?
Have you gone out to eat even once (even if it was subway or a salad or something?

HOWEVER if youre losing then its working, so keep doing what youre doing!

I have been using the EatSmart digital kitchen scale to weigh everything. I'm not using any packaged foods and no going out to eat
