Vanilla biscotti in the cup this morning. Right now it's sort of drizzling but I'm hoping it clears because I have a day with no appointments. I actually got started on barn cleanout yesterday and will carry on with that this morning if the rain continues. I was hoping Moel would till my veggie plot today but that won't happen now that it's wet again.

My friend Karen popped in for dinner last night, carrying her famous and very off Programme lasagna. She's going through a tough time and medicating with food. I have to stop joining her in sympathy. The scale was not pretty this morning.

No appointments today but have a list of odds and sods that need doing - like emptying the dishwasher that I ran on Monday! It's time for sock pulling and getting at it!

Hope your socks aren't too droopy this morning and that you have a good day.

Morning Ruth, I was waiting lol been up since 2:15! Up and out very early for work. Was a monsoon driving in, fortunately no wet socks and coffee was waiting. Dunkin Donuts was brewed by a co-worker.

I look forward to checking the board frequently.

No big plans working through the weekend. Tuesday meeting a dear friend and her parents in NYC for dinner. Don't beat yourself up over the lasagna. We all have our moments.

Enjoy your coffee, I need to make my breakfast. Indid not want to eat when I first got up, my body just wasn't ready

Good morning The cats thought 5:30 was late for breakfast and woke me up (they are helpers). The daylight is starting to confuse them. AH well, I don't mind being up early if it's light out. I can always go to bed a little earlier tonight.

Oh goody, cat barf. I am not buying these cans anymore, seems to happen a lot. I think he just really likes them and bolts the food.

I'm hoping for a better day today. Yesterday was just a really down day. Doing last minute details for Julie's May show and need to do her bio. It's the hardest so I've been putting it off. I've been having some luck with an online garage sale and unloading some clutter. I'm making a list of things to list, don't want too much at once because it gets lost. Other than that, same list of stuff to get done.

I hope we get some sun around here soon! I know it was really dry but I'm getting sick of the rain and gray.

ETA - Ruth - what Karen is doing is one of my big fears. I'm keeping all grains and sweets out of the house but every time I'm in the store I end up with stuff in my cart I shouldn't have. So far I'm putting them back on the shelf before I leave!

The best part of waking up, is Folgers in your cup! (sing it with me....remember the jingle?!)

Ruth -oh, no. The scale wouldn't be very kind after that, would it? (but I bet it was delicious)

Jekel - whoa! Is it nap time now?!

Cyndi - The bio would be difficult....I think I'd have to have a glass of wine to assist me. Of course then I couldn't think clearly and it would probably be some bizarre writing (although maybe Julie would appreciate that?!). Yay for you for putting stuff back.

I thought of working out this am, but I think I won't (BAD GIRL)...these 9-7 days have been tiring. Instead, I think I'll take the pup a couple blocks down to the park with the creek and let her romp for a few minutes, that'll make her very happy. Spring is singing out there, and the honeysuckle are in bloom, so this is a good time to just have a few minutes of quiet!

It's not raining here, but the sky looks like it could open up any minute. Methinks the rain is overstaying it's welcome.

Ruth, are you having a yardsale with all the stuff you're cleaning out of your barn? You could compete with your neighbor across the street. Poor Karen. I sympathize with her, but finding comfort with food will only bring on it's own problems. I'm glad she was seeking your company, though, and I know you made her feel better.

Cyndi, I wish I could help you with Julie's things, and I do hope her show is a huge success. Know we keep you in our thoughts, dear friend.

jekel, I hope you had a yummy OP breakfast!

I'm enjoying the fact that today's my Friday. If the rain holds off, I have a messy job of cleaning out the outside tortoise pen and refilling it with new sand. Yuck. While I'm outside, I may as well do some weeding and roll up and tie the daffodil and tulip leaves.
I'm making cauliflower crust pizza for my supper tonight, yum!

yes Cottage I did....two egg whites, slice of boar's head turkey, onion, artichoke bruschetta and a slice of chipotle Gouda cheese....yummy omelet!!! That will keep me satisfied until my break around 10. Then I will hit the spin bike and quick shower, unless we are busy.

Good morning.

Holly - I wanted to strangle my DH yesterday because I could hear him chomping, chomping, chomping on one of my food temptations! He's still alive.

Cate - Nice to meet you. Or maybe re-meet you?

Sunshine - Congrats on your marriage and welcome back.

Cyndi -

Linda - Have you tried zucchini pizza? I'm loving it.

I'm off to yoga this morning and work this evening. Have to get to Costco today or tomorrow at the latest to pick up a prescription. That's as far as my thinking has gone today.

Good Morning

I came to the realization last night that I'd better get myself trip-organized since I work 3 of the next 6 days and 1 additional day will be spent transporting Bing to his alternate home. Kirk is making our smoothies as I speak and I'm going to get my big dresser cleaned off and start putting out my stuff. We're having 75 degree days and the high there today will be around 50. Ouch.

Food was almost OP yesterday. I chose not to resist leftover rhubarb cake but gave the rest to DH and pledged not to make another.

everyone!

Cyndi, I hope you have a better day today!

Bad day yesterday - practical laboratory exam... not good.
But got my hair done, don't have to go into school til 1pm today (sleep in soooo good!) and best part of all...the scale went down today to the lowest it's been in ages! So I know it's going to be a good day today!! And no study this weekend!!! Small pleasures... lol!!

Sounds like everyone is busy.. here's hoping you all have a great day (or what's left of it for you northern hemisphere residents)!!

Good evening All! Couldn't get here this morning. We had to move some of my FIL's belongings from his house to the assisted living center. We're moving him there from the hospital tomorrow. He'll be in the "Reminiscence" wing. Nice euphemism, eh? I was able to stay on plan, did my interval walk while the eggplant was cooking and am drinking diet tonic with lime right now. Tomorrow, after we move him in, I may have to go off plan and add some Gin to that! Hopefully not. I just have to stay away from wine - that's my trigger for snacking! Hope everyone is having a peaceful evening!
