Default SBD TGIF Chat - Friday, Dec. 23

Good morning. We got a skiff of snow but not enough to consider this a white Christmas. I woke about an hour ago and lay there thinking about all I have to do today. Finally just got up and will get it started shortly. Some of the groceries from the Big Shop yesterday are still on the kitchen table although I did get the fridge and freezer stuff stashed away before I went out to dinner.

Loads to do today with Donna coming to clean and Matt, Claire's 6'7" son, coming over to "help" me decorate. I need to organize things for him so he can just get to the decorating without my supervision. I still need to cook two batches for my goodie baskets so ... I'm kind of hoping he comes on his own rather than with his wife Isis - a dear woman but I know she wants to talk baby quilts as she's due in June and I need to be going full speed ahead today. Late this afternoon I need to go pick up flowers. I think it'll be an early supper and bedtime after this crack of dawn start to TGIF!

How does the day look for you from behind your coffee mug?

Good Morning Ruth and everyone.

One more day, is it over yet!

I have to go shopping tomorrow for dog food of all things, hopefully I can make there and back and avoid the crowds. Thne I hope we can sit back and relax and enjoy the holiday. We are making prime rib, not exactly on plan, but everything else will be for me. Now, I have to go research how to cook it!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day, Happy Friday.

Good morning! I'm up early so I can get to the grocery store before the crowds hit it. I have a big shop and want to get in and out of there! Other than that, I'm going to put Jake to work helping me clean the house and I have several loads of laundry. I must remember to call my GD, Carley, today, and wish her a happy birthday, since we decided not to drive over. Time flies, I just can't believe that she's 7 years old!

Cottage - my Gracie Lu Lu is one day older than Carley! What a great age!

I'm meeting a friend for breakfast in 1/2 hour, then pick up a couple of last minute things, then groceries, then work, then start to CLEAN! We're up to 20 people at our house (!!!!), all from our new church. From dining alone on such a great holiday, to 20 people...what a difference a day makes! There will be lots of good on plan choices (esp. because one guest is vegan), and quite a few bad ones too.

I know it's getting to be the end of the season, because bad food is becoming repulsive! Bring on the healthy stuff!!

Happy Friday! I slept in!

Ruth, I can't imagine feeding a 6'7" son. Wow!

Chickadeee, Yesterday I drove through the Walmart parking lot and drove out the other side. It was insane!

Linda, Auston loves when his grandparents call and sing for his birthday.

Twynn, I wouldn't know how to cook for a vegan...

I'm making candy with my MIL and SIL today. Hopefully MIL can hang in there. Her hair is falling out by hand-fulls. I'm thinking of suggesting she go ahead and shave it off. She's pretty practical, but may get emotional about her hair. She has beautiful, white-silver hair. But, it's getting in her food.

Don't tell anyone, but I *think* I'm getting a Kuerig for Christmas.

Hello everyone,

At work it has been crazy this week, a go-live that we were not supposed to be the command center for but it doubled our calls from normal of 1000 per day to 2000 per day. We finally worked out a few bugs and calls are back to normal yeah.

I hope everyone is doing well and is all ready for Christmas. I am done shopping and went grocery shopping last night just went to local little grocery rather than drive to bigger so it wouldn't be so bad.

Merry Christmas everyone if I don't get back on here before.

Afternoon!

In laws are here and I am going nuts. Between all the bad food now in the house and all the talking about what bad food is next to eat, I am freaking out.

I need to nap (up at 6a with the baby) and then go to the grocery store. I am going to meet them in DC at the Zoo for Zoo lights. At least I will get a good walk in! I am still sore and waiting on the DR. for results. I just called and she was like, "They are in. Oh. Um, let me have the Dr. call you back."

So now, I am nervous.
