I did the SBD (slightly modified) 3 years ago. I was successful with it (i lost over 100 lbs in a years time when added with 2-4 hours of physical yard work labor and in winter- exercise dvds) I since had a baby and that baby is 16 months old now and I am still hanging onto 30 lbs that I would like to get back rid of (i had gained 80 with his pregnancy so i am still down 50) It seems that the SBD worked the best for me but I admit it, I am a total carbaholic. I love bread

But this is my plan. I am giving back up bread and fruit. I need to find my SBD book to remember everything it said though but I know that doritoes must flee my life. I will occasionally do some homemade tortillas but for the most part, i will be cutting it all out.

It will be hard- this next week I am going to be getting apples to make applesauce and then canning pears. I LOVE Bartlett!! it will be hard not to eat all the peels. Last year I gained 5 lbs during this section of my canning season lol. Anyways- im tired of what i see in the mirror and i know i can do it. I had once been 270-280 lbs up til the end of 2008.. I was down to 141 before I got pregnant... I didn't see those 140 days very long and I want to be back there. I felt healthier, i had more energy...

So here I am... and I need support and like minded people

Welcome! I've recently started back with SouthBeach after having success about 2 years ago. I think it will be motivation just knowing you've done it before. You can do it again!

Amanda! I also started at the height of apple season. I was picking and drying bushels of apples (and slicing them all to dry!) and had to resist all those yummy little leftover bits. I was so ready for an apple at the start of week 3! It was worth it but definitely a challenge
