I am new to SB and plan to start on Sunday. I have been scanning for recipes and some have listed using agave nectar. I have never of this. What is it, what does it taste like and where would I buy it?
My local top foods sells a few brands. It is like runny maple syrup in texture and has different grades of color much like maple syrup. It is derived from the agave plant and has a much smaller impact on your blood sugar and the glycimic index. You can replace sugar with it but beware it is not a calorie / carb free alternative, simply much more healthy.
