I am a 53 year old woman who has been battling this weight thing since as long as I can remember. My last plan that was successful for me was Weight Watchers Core program which is somewhat similar to South Beach. However, over the last two years I have been struggling with staying on plan. I tried the new PointsPlus plan and just cannot deal with counting anymore.
I got out my South Beach book at the beginning of the year and my husband and I started Phase One on Jan 3rd. We both made it through this phase with decent weight losses - I lost 6 and he lost about 10. Since then, he has been doing great, continuing to lose and I have stalled due to lack of consistency. He is exercising and I am not. I am easily swayed and he is diligent. I had actually come to resent him a bit and realized how foolish that is.
So, I have picked today to get really serious! I would like to join your group in order to be accountable to myself. I will not go back to Phase One – I will just get strict on Phase 2. I will post my daily menu and welcome any comments or suggestions. Looking forward to moving in the right direction!
