Welcome, Sharon! I'm glad you've found your way back to us. :)
I think the weather changes must have a lot to do with all these headaches. I've had one off-and-on for the past week or so, too. The wind has finally decided to calm down this morning, but we're back to freezing again. :brr: Our accountant is due here this morning to do our taxes. He's been doing our taxes for years, and it's nice that he comes to our home to do them. I have a coffee cake in the oven and will make sure there's a fresh pot of coffee. It helps to keep the taxman happy! ;) |
Good morning! I was last here and first back this morning. Good thing I have my key. ;) (Just see that Cottage sneaked in before me. )
After Church this morning, we are off to visit the Hyper Pypers near Ottawa. I've not seen then since Christmas Eve so it should be fun. The dogs will have a ball on the farm. Disney loves it there and spends her time chasing pigeons and trying to chase cats. Jazz will be completely intimidated and spend his time on laps. Margo is cooking either a wild turkey or a Canada goose - a new eating experience for me. She assures me that they are not as high fat as the domestic version so should be OK for SBD. We'll be home late (2 hour drive) so I may not be here first thing tomorrow. (I'm thinking of staying overnight but will play it by ear.) Hope your Sunday is as much fun as mine! |
Hello Chicks,
No headache today, so hopefully that is the trend for us all. I was soooo lazy yesterday. I did grocery shop and get in a long walk, but otherwise, I just watched The Sixth Sense and Goodfellas from beginning to end, both of which I've never seen all the way. Today I feel guilty. I also had a long chat with my friend about motivation and I think maybe my head is moving in the right direction again. However, when I looked in the mirror this morning my face looked super-fat, and that is depressing. I've been on prednisone for a month now, so that is probably at least partly why I look so puffed up. I hope the doctor will take me off this week. I'm going to get some laundry going and put something in the crock pot for dinner, and then decide which of the chores I didn't do yesterday I'm up to doing today. Walking at noon definitely will happen. Matilda, I'm glad your son is feeling better. Those head wacks can be scary. Cyndi, let us know about eggplant meatballs. I did see a recipe recently for eggplant mixed into the ground meat for meatballs that looked good, but I could skip the beef no problem if they're yummy. Waisting, I love my crock pot too, but only have about 4 good recipes for it. Teen driving, I remember those fun days! DD1 had 3 accidents in the first year. Congrats on your woosh, weezie! Debbie, I hope you get good news today about your friend. Jasmine, I'm sorry for your worry, I hope your uncle is doing better today. :welcome: to Sharon. If you are familiar with the plan, my opinion is you just need the updated food lists from here. Sounds like you are doing great maintaining your loss. Wishing a wonderful day to Linda, Ruth, and Heidi! |
Good morning friends :coffee2: We are on the right side of the mountains today so missing most of the snow other people are getting (I hope!). Today is our monthly Trader Joe's pilgrimage. I'm just making my list now. I hate remembering something I meant to pick up when it's too late. After that it's housework and then, sadly, some work work tonight.
Ruth - Sounds like a fun day ahead for you and the doggage :) Cottage - I was thinking the same thing about the headaches. DW had one all day yesterday too. I sure hope everyone is feeling better today. :crossed: hope you get good tax news. Taxes are continually frustrating around here because of DOMA, way more complicated then they need to be. DW does ours and just tells me how much I owe. Schmoodle - I've been meaning to watch the 6th Sense again. Thanks for the reminder. Prednisone is definitely a motivation damper and probably did cause that puffiness. Hope they get you off it soon. In the meantime just keep doing what you need to do and wait for that whoosh you know is coming. :welcome3: Sharon Tall & Thin- I was updating my exercise and saw your numbers up there :carrot: So glad to see you're back on your feet. Natasha - Hope you're feeling better today Okay, time to make the grocery list and start getting myself together a little (it's the weekends so my standards are pretty low) |
My standards are a bit low this morning too, Cyndi. I just made an executive decision to skip Church :nono: and take the time to soak in the tub for a bit. That should ease my darn sore back a little and make the drive to town a bit better.
I also remembered a Mill Board Meeting at noon  tomorrow so will cobble together a financial report today in case I don't get back early tomorrow. I've only known about the meeting for three weeks - I'm the Goddess of Procrastination! Taxes! Oy! I still have to do the slips for the Mill employees so they can file theirs. Then I'll fuss over mine. I had a huge tax bill for 2009 and am certainly hoping it'll all be straightened out this year. Maybe a refund? Just a tiny one? We're not due until April 30 so I'll wait until March to tackle them. I'm off for a lovely hot lavender soak. Enjoy your day! |
Good morning everyone!!
My uncle did start improving last night. He was waking up and talking and able to answer most questions. They believe they have solved one problem which had to do with spinal fluid. They are now working on the second problem, which is why his platlets are so low. I spent most of yesterday at the hospital. After church we are headed back down. Of course this has wreaked havoc on my eating. Between this and my monthly visit from Aunt Flow I am a mess. I figure I am not going to be super concerned about what I eat today and tomorrow and on Tuesday I will restart with a few day of Phase 1. Have a great Sunday! Jasmine |
Thanks Schmoo! Not sure what I did yesterday (no bathroom celebration even!) but I lost another 2 lbs? I mean, WOOHOO, but I have no idea what I did. I know I'm OCD Daily Weigher, badbadbadbad, but that's just me.
My favorite part about it all? I OFFICIALLY WEIGH LESS THAN CHRIS!!!! Ahh. Finally. I made him weigh himself this morning because I told him I was 125.8 (his last weigh-in was at 126.0 quite awhile ago.) He said "yeah I'm probably 125.7 now" HA HA HAAA. He weighed himself, and he's 128.6! He said "Boy, I've really let myself go." So funny. Hope everyone is having a great day! :D Lisa |
Good morning everyone! I turned 25 today..Happy Birthday to me...And a special birthday it is..i went down another pound!! woohooo! That would make a 11 pound loss in 3.5 weeks..im very proud and the results are starting to show..and i know its not just water loss anymore cause i really see the decrease in the inches..um what else..well this part of Canada is looking up today..its mild out and no new snow..It was beautiful and sunny yesterday..and now its just..grey outside..But still worth a walk today..I think this is the first year that im not having a birthday cake..and i dont feel at a loss for it..because i rather be healthy than eat refined white sugar and white flour thats only temporary..health is for a lifetime..so..i will take that instead..
Hope everyone has a great day and happy losing.. |
Happy Birthday PHG! You are doing great!

Happy Birthday, PHG! :woo:

Hi everyone. I would like to join your group if I may. It may take me a little while to get to know everyone but I will. As I'm getting older, my brain is not working as good as it use to...if it ever did.:D My mom has dementia and my father has alzheimers and I think I might end up with one or the other. But I'm only 53 so maybe I have a few good years left.
Today is my first day on Phase 1. My biggest problem is I haven't eaten probably half of what I should have. I'll have a fairly good healthy supper that I hope is op. Have any of you heard of miracle noodles? My son wants me to come over tonight for supper. He is cooking some very lean ground beef with onions and bell peppers. Then he is adding sugar free Ragu and will serve this with the miracle noodles. I will also have some mixed greens with less sodium. Later on I will have two sugar-free fudgesicles and pray I can stop for the night with that. I hope you all have a good day with what's left of it. It is sooooo beautiful here. Talk to you all tomorrow. |
Happy Birthday PHG!!!! :D
|
Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone!..I wish my day was going better.. ive got a nasty headache from this horrible white weather..sadly its the greyness outside that gives me the headaches..not the sunshine..So..i feel..drained..but hey..at least im still eating right and not giving in to temptations..By the way..anyone have a fiancee forget your birthday????
|
Happy Birthday PHG!!! My husband almost forgot the first year we were married. He lucked out, because the day before one of my friends had mentioned something about it in passing conversation. It took him probably a couple of year before he could answer when my birthday was.
