Good morning I'm up way too early after another bout of insomnia followed by cat olympics. Off to get some coffee, can I pour anyone a cup?
Okay, now I have coffee all is well with the world I'm on the road today and it looks like it will be perfect weather for that. I'm going to find time to get a walk in, warm February days are too rare to waste.
I'll take a cup of tea if you've got one Cyndi.....
I'm skipping the treadmill this morning and now that I'm in front of the computer I'm thinking I need to put this away for now, too. I've got a splitting headache - not sure why though. Headaches are one thing I rarely get. Maybe it's the change in the weather. This has been a very odd week weather wise.
Coffee for me please, Cyndi. Thanks! I'm glad you won't have to be concerned about road conditions today for a change, and hope you get a nice walk in. Maybe you'll see some impending signs of Spring on your walk.
Heidi, waking up with a splitting headache is no fun. I hope some Advil or Aleve banishes it away! I often get headaches as the weather changes.
It's supposed to be a lovely Spring-like day here again, and I'm enjoying this respite from winter. My day was changed yesterday since Audrey had been up most of the night with her cold, and we let her sleep in. She was feeling much better by mid-morning, though, so I went ahead and took her to school and spent the rest of the day doing little things around the house. I plan to spend this morning at Susie's, as long as both girls are in school.
Hi everyone,
Still have my cold, and was so uncomfortable yesterday at work that I decided I would stay home today. Why, oh why do I always feel guilty about taking sick time? The rub is I still have to walk my son to school, and since I work 2 blocks from home if I'm out and about at all (did hope to accomplish some errants TTTT) I risk running into a co-worker. Oh, well. I never, ever take sick time except when my son is sick, so I've got to allow myself to do this. Maybe I'll go see a movie later in the afternoon...
Hope everyone has a great day! I'll probably check in later.
Thanks for getting us started, Cyndi. I'm glad I only have one cat. She did, however, wake me up having a hairball attack. Enjoy your stress free drive and your walk today.
Heidi, hope you are feeling better soon!
Linda, love your crocus! Glad to hear you're having Springlike days! Hope Audrey is feeling better.
Matilda, I hope you are able to feel better and be okay with staying home.
Ruth,
Me, got up with the cat and it was blowing outside. I decided to get Rudi out early...thank goodness because now we are getting pouring rain with the wind! Kirk is up so I'm sitting on the couch in the dark catching up on my rescue stuff. Our small group has already saved 23 dogs this year. The gal who does the rescuing and rehoming is just amazing! My job is easy. Pool today then installation of the dishwasher I mentioned a month ago. It's been at the repairman...Someone had wired it wrong which is why it ended up at the thrift store. It also needed a 15 dollar part. So for under 200 I got a 1200 dollar dishwasher. I'll consider that a deal.
Morning Ladies
I had a revelation on tuesday Night. All my reasonings for trying to get healthy again and do a multitude of things were for everyone other than me.
No wonder I was floundering!
So I'm reminding myself who all this is for ME!
Cyn I was up from 3-4 got any espresso?
heidi and matilda feel better!
Cottage enjoy the weather! Maybe the groundhog was right! ruth and debbieR
ok I have to get moving!!
Kierie
I was up and at them early this morning. My DH wasn't home last night, so the sleep was lackluster. Today should be pretty mellow. My big excitement is the piano tuner is coming this evening. YEA!!
I do not drink enough water and way to much Diet Coke. Today I am going to try and not drink any Diet Coke. I am just bringing iced tea and water with me to work.
Quickflyby for me, wfh for a couple more minutes then taking DD1 to doctors appointment and then going into work. Tonight after work we are leaving for MS to visit my parents so I will be MIA until Tuesday.
tanner's mom, enjoy your mellow day! We're blizzarding here in Glenwood right now!
Pearlrose, safe travels!
Boy am I glad I got Rudi out early! We have a full on blizzard right now. I am not excited....we were planning on heading over the hill sometime soon but I think we'll just hang loose today! Pool first....then we'll decide how to get the dishwasher out of the back of the car.
HI quick run-by-fruiting! Meetings most of the morning, and I got to work today and SOMEONE ATE MY CHEESE STICK. Not happy. Like, seriously? Why would someone eat my low-fat cheese stick? It was in there overnight. Grr. So I may be a little hungry this morning.
Otherwise it's GORGEOUS outside! Hope everyone has a great day!
Good morning chicks! I had to get bloodwork this morning and planned to be in and out in 15 minutes as usual but due to stupid insurance issues had to go to a different place and now I'm running way late! It's gorgeous here though, I plan to throw open the windows and air out, and definitely a long lunchtime walk is a priority. I'll try to pop back later, but have a good one, and remember the weekend is almost here!
I'm back and in a normal rhythm! It feels so darn good to just feel good. Sometimes I don't think we appreciate our good health untill we lose it. Thanks to all of you for the :, it really did help to know you were all pulling for me. Last time I was able to stay in rhythm for a year and a half so got my that I will go at least that long again. Not quite ready to start walking again as it will take a few days for my body to recover but hopefully will be back out there real soon.
Cyndi, I was up at 3:30 this morning because we let our bulldog sleep with us last night which we rarely do and he must have gotten cold because he left the foot of the bed to come up and cuddle with me and let me tell you, that flat faced little dog can snore! I gave up and let him and DH have the bed. Back in his crate he goes tonight.
Mm, sorry you are under the weather. Hope it passes quickly.
Debbie, 23 dogs so far this year! That is great. Wish we lived closer so I could help you.
KO, good for you........we just have to make ourselves our number one priority!
Okie, read that you are in California now. Think you might be down in the southern portion though so guess we are still a ways away. Hope this new start works out great for you.
to the rest of you who have already had your coffee and are now busy with your day and also to those of you yet to stop by. It's good to be back!
