  • making some chia pudding for breakfast tomorrow! do we count these as a starch, or what? I'm totally confused on these.
  • I count them the same way I count flax seeds.

Yum, I just got a case of organic pumpkin so I know what I'm making for breakfast. Thanks
  • how do you count flax seeds?

I used 1/4 c. of chia seeds for the pudding.

I answered this myself by using google. correct me if I'm wrong, though. an acceptable amount is 1 ounce? for most seeds, 1 ounce is 3 T. usually. I didn't get to weigh them, but next time I'll just use a scant 1/4 cup.

Darn, I was afraid you'd ask that Okay, actually I just watch the calories. I do remember that in Phase 1 we can only have 3T(1 oz of flax meal) of flax seeds, it came up with the muffin recipe. That recipe is Phase 2 because it uses 1/4 cup. Honestly I just watch the fat in the day's total. For me chia is a huge overall plus on the day and I only add it to one meal so haven't worried about it. They have been one of the best additions to my diet.
