Three pounds lost!

  • I lost three pounds on Phase 1! I wish it was more, but I was on my period for a major part of P1. I've lost more before, so why haven't I lost that much this time around? Is it because I added exercise from day 1 this time around?
  • did you watch your calories?? Exercise makes me hungrier, I tend to eat more unless I am counting calories.
  • I was running around 1250-1550 calories a day!
  • Well TOM could be the culprit. Did you only do it for 2 weeks? I am doing it for 4 this time just to really get going on it.
    You could end up having a whoosh. But also your calories seem on the low end if you are exercising. Still 3 pounds is great!
  • Several years ago during the surge of the low-carb diet craze, I read an article that said many of us have that big drop only the first time we do a diet like this. I have done SB three times and got a pretty decent loss during PH1 only twice, but did everything the same. Not sure what others experience. So this may hold true for you as well. Hang in there and watch for NSVs.

  • I look at it like this...if you weren't on a mindful plan like SB, you might have been overeating for 2 weeks and gained 2-3 pounds, so you lost 3 plus the 2 you might have gained really is 5 pounds down!!

    I am finding this is true for me. Second time on Ph 1, and the weight just isn't dropping like it did the first time. At least its going down though!
