Hello, everyone. I just wanted to stop in and say, "Hey". The mood in our household is a bit dim. I know a lot of you were praying and sending good thoughts our way in regards to Jason's sister's accident that occurred on May 21. Thank you for all of that. Unfortunately, she did not make it and passed away on May 28. She was just 22 years old and just getting ready for the best part of her life. She was in a career she loved and was in love with and making future plans with Jason's best friend. We all felt that they were just made for each other. We were all looking forward to the four of us being together as couples and I'm very sad that is not going to happen.
We were not able to tell her goodbye while she was still alive, as she was still in the icu in Midland and we were in Corpus Christi for her little bro's high school graduation that took place the night she died. What a rough time it has been. She was laid to rest this past Thursday and we were able to be there because she was buried in Corpus. I'm at peace with what has happened, but I will miss her dearly. She has been one of my best friends for a long time.
We also went to a graduation party, took Jason's nephew out for a fun day and went to a wedding. It was definitely a roller-coaster week.
Some of you probably noticed my absence on your FB pages. I apologize for that. This situation has made me want to focus a bit more on the folks I know IRL. I'll leave FB for that, but know that I can always find all of you on 3FC.
My weight has skyrocketed since all of this has happened, so I'm glad to be back home so that I can get back on track. I don't know if I'll be here regularly or just stop in every so often to "see" all of you, but at least you know I'm still "here".
I hope you're all well!!
