supposed to start Phase 2 on Sat

I am so comfortable with phase 1 that I hate to think about changing anything? How did you start? What was your first added item? Did yo hold ot a few extra days or do it as recommended? I will start on Sat as I dont want to mess with my metabolism..any suggestions are appreciated

Start slow and easy, one fruit or grain a day. This is a testing phase to figure out what works for your body. Many of us have found particular foods or times of day that were challenging and had to tweak our menus. If you try something and discover you have cravings adjust the time you eat the Phase 2 food, try eating it with protein, or try a different food. You will be learning things about your body that will set you up to maintain a healthy lifestyle long after you reach your goal :)

Definately take it slow and remember that if you are adding a food you need to take away something you have been eating in phase 1. I forgot that little tidbit and stalled for awhile until I realized I was eating my regular phase 1 plus the extra phase 2 aerving or 2.

You may need to tweek some things. I've learned that if I have a high protein/fat breakfast I stay satisfied for much longer through the day. If I have cereal or bread for breakfast I want to eat all day long. I can have some fruit like grapes or berries in the morning but not too much.

So it's a matter of trial and error. Take it slow and pay attention to your body signals and you'll do fine.

My calories were pretty low on Phase I, so I didn't take anything away when I started Phase II. I added oatmeal for breakfast, then added fruit after another week.
