Cool After a long haitus, I'm back on the Beach

Hi everyone,

It's been almost a year since I posted here. You were all so incredibly helpful in the past, so I'm hoping you don't mind me sneaking back in here after all this time.

Obviously, I need to update my ticker, but so far I'm on track. I'm on Day 3 of Phase 1. Since January, I have cut out caffeine and artificial sweeteners whenever possible. Is anyone doing SB without sweeteners? I'm finding my food choices are quite limited without Splenda.

TIA!

Welcome back RenRen! I use minimal Splenda, but boy, giving up the caffeine would be tough.

I don't like sweeteners, and have been on SBD for close to two years, and haven't had much of a problem. When I did hit maintenance, I'd rather have a bit o' real sugar, than the fake stuff. OTOH, during weight loss, fruits really hit the spot with their natural sweetness. (Gosh, apples have been fantastic lately

Welcome back!!!

Welcome (back!) Good luck your second time around! This is my second time too.

I am looking for ways to cut back on artificial sweeteners, but I do rely quite a bit on my splenda. Sorry I can't be of help there!

Hi RenRen and back!

You must have been leaving just as I was getting started. I don't use artificial sweeteners too much. I find my need for sweet seems to be satisfied by fruit these days. When I bake I usually use agave and put a little splenda in. Several months ago, I tapered off the caffeine and switched to decaf coffee. It didnt seem to affect my WL and I ended up switching back over due to $$. I do drink less coffee than I used to.

Hope you find it easy to get back in the groove!

Welcome back!

I don't use artificial sweeteners either. I cook the same things for the whole family and I do not want to feed the kids artificial stuffs. I do use agave and stevia often, though.
