Hello, it's Valentine weekend! Having fun at the beach! What are your plans for the weekend? I plan to attend church on Sunday and watch the NBA all-star game. It'll be a bummer because Kobe B. isn't playing but the show must go on. I'm starting to look slimmer! I couldn't see the results b4 but now I'm seeing my body starting to transform! I'm soooooo excited!
Morning, Okie! Congrats on your changes! For me, it's a sweaty Saturday. I just finished my kickboxing workout and am in desperate need of a shower.
We have a fun weekend planned! Kadyn and Tom are going to a Daddy/Daughter Ball tonight and so I'm taking her to the salon to get her nails painted this morning. She's very excited! Then tomorrow we're heading out for a three day trip down to the Bavarian Alps for some fun in the snow. Tom and Connor are going to go snowboarding and the girls and I are going to hit up the indoor pool and then later we're planning to all go sledding. The German schools are closed Monday and Tuesday for a holiday, so we're not coming back until Tuesday evening.
I picked up Tom's gift last night and I am bursting with excitement to give it to him! He is going to be ecstatic! He has NO clue!
Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday. I'll be back on later to check in again.
Good morning. I don't know what your weekend plans are but mine don't involve sex or sweat - so far!
Just ignore me and have fun. I'll wander back later.
OKie - It's so exciting when your hard work starts to pay off
Kara - Oh, sounds like a fun weekend for all of you. Have a great time
Ruth - don't look at me, the most exciting thing I can think of is planning my garden
We are off to Plum Island for some birding and lots of walking (way too cold for any sweating). It's Eagle Festival weekend so we are hoping for lots of good looks at eagles. Two years ago they were everywhere. I was lazy this time and didn't plan much of the food. We go down there often enough that we know the safe places to eat and have just about memorized their menus so it's all good.
Hope the sun is out and your weekend plans include all the right stuff, no matter what that is. As for me some walking outside, a few opportunities for bird pictures, and being at the ocean work just fine
No plans for today other than cleaning and lesson plans. I made a big old pot of white beans yesterday, so don't even have to cook! Hubby works tomorrow, but plan on hitting the Quarter for Lundi Gras fun on Monday. Hope it warms up. It snowed here for a few hours yesterday, but because the ground was so wet, nothing stuck even though the flakes were huge. Downloaded Ray Lamontange's "Trouble" album from amazon yesterday, so I have something to listen to while cleaning. Also got a "new" version of Mandolin Rain by Bruce Hornsby and Ricky Scaggs...great version. Music makes chores fun.
Today is my oldest son's birthday, but he is going to N.O. for Endymion's ball tonight, so I probably won't see him. I'm jealous, but know he'll have a blast.
Hope your weekend is as exiting or relaxing as you want it to be.

You all have such fun plans for the weekend! We don't have any special plans here, just a normal weekend. There may be some sweat involved, as I'm quite addicted to my wii workouts.
Okie, I'm glad you're seeing results! Have a great day.
Kara, you are going to love Garmisch! When we were stationed in Augsburg, we would drive down there as often as we could. If you have enough time, check out Oberammergau and the Linderhof, too, as well as seeing the Eibsee. It's just breathtakingly gorgeous. Have a fabulous time, you lucky girl!
Ruth, we have to find something fun to do to keep up with girls!
Cyndi, I hope your trip to Plum Island is fun, too! Be careful driving!
We're going to go out for breakfast and pick up a few groceries at the Amish market, and then come home and watch the Olympics. I tried to stay awake to watch the opening ceremonies last night, but couldn't make it past 10:30. I'm hoping they'll show it all again.
We may watch Amber and Tyler this evening while Dustin and Andrea go out to dinner, and that will be fun. Amber came with me yesterday to Cindy's, and she and the girls had a blast sledding all afternoon. I was tempted to hop on a sled, but my back is still giving me grief. It was enough of an effort to wade through waist-high snow to climb the hill!
ETA:
Good morning, Cat! Did you get pictures of the snow yesterday?

Okie, Congratulations on your new slimmier, sexier body.
Kara, Have fun playing in the snow!
Ruth, I bet you find something great to do without the sweating or the sex.
Cyndi, There is a family of eagles living at Inland Lake -- about 5 miles from my house. I've seen one here. They are truly majestic!
Cat, Oh to be in New Orleans! My sister is there for a wedding shower today and a parade tonight.
Cottage, What do you get at the Amish Market? There is a man at the flea market who sells products with an Amish sticker, but I don't know if it's actually made by Amish folks. It's very good.
Guess what, we're snowed in! Most of the roads and interstates are closed because of ice. WOW!!! Tonight is our Mardi Gras party. There is about $100 of seafood in my refrigerator, so I'm making gumbo. I hope people can get here! If not, there will be lots of leftovers.
I'll post pictures on my Facebook of Auston playing in the snow. He had so much fun! When I put him in bed last night he said, "Mom, I'm not even going play around, I'm just going to sleep!" He was pooped out!
Chelby - that was so cute of your son! Wish I lived nearby, I'd be there pretty quick for some gumbo!
Cyndi - your weekend sounds lovely! Maybe one day when the kids are bigger, I can do that too. Right now...too much trouble!
Ruth - You crack me up!
Cottage - I just scrolled thru the pics for opening ceremonies. I really want my kids to see some of the games....they play mario and sonic's winter olympics, so they have a VERY skewed version of what it is reallylike. We told them about the death yesterday...so they'd know how serious it really is in real life. Personally, I want to see figure skating!!
Cat- hope you enjoyed it! You got the best of both worlds, if you dislike snow. Had the beauty of it, not the problems with the roads!
Kara- your trip sounds beautiful! I am very envious. One day...I'll make it to Europe, I hope.
Okie - yeah for you! How you're chipper at 3 am, I'll never know!!
Me - getting my coffee in...need to make breakfast, and then off to another cat spay clinic. They like me doing the spays because I'm speedy . After that, we're having one of my DS's friend's family over. I told my husband I want to plan once monthy to have someone over for dinner. We haven't made many friendships here, and I miss it!! (oh, and I went sledding with DS yesterday and had a blast!!!)
PS- I successfully cut back on chocolate. I'm stunned. Told myself no more than 2 pieces (one after lunch, one after supper....) and I'm good with that. Maybe I need to talk to myself more?!?!?
Ruth, there's lots of fun to be had without sex or sweat.
Cyndi, your weekend sounds wonderful! Tom and I went to an island off the coast of Washington (state) for our first anniversary and saw some eaglets when we were kayaking. It was a beautiful sight! I believe that's the same trip that Tom ate bull kelp. He reported that it tasted like salty green beans. He's crazy!
Cat, happy birthday to your son! I hope you have a great time celebrating this weekend and next week!
Linda, thanks for the recommendations. We went in the fall and had a lot of fun hiking, but I think this trip will be different. Connor is very excited for his day of snowboarding!
Michelle, I bet your party is going to be fantastic! Have a great time!
Tammy, congrats on the success with the chocolate. I think when we set limits, it can work wonders! Good luck at the clinic today!
We are home from getting our nails polished and are feeling very pampered. We hit the commissary after the salon and picked up some things for this week. I still need to put them away. Tom also went by the post office, and the end table we had shipped from my grandfather's house had arrived, so he's downstairs finding a good spot for it. I'm excited to get to have things from my grandparents' in our home now. We hung a beautiful old oil lamp the other day and it's in just the perfect spot. It makes me smile every time I see it! I also took a few of my grandmother's salt and pepper shakers and they're in my kitchen on the shelf. I love seeing them in there.
FoodO - That is exciting! You are already so motivated, this should add to that.
Kara - How fun! Enjoy. I am a big sentimentalist and love things from family members. I feel the same way you do when I see those things around me.
Ruth - LOL - I take the fifth.
Cyndi - It sounds like a great day. I miss the ocean... or any bodies of water for that matter.
Cat - I have only ever read about NO during Mardi Gras. I imagine much craziness and revelry. Music sure can make cleaning more fun. I like Broadway musical soundtracks for that.
Cottage - I recorded the opening ceremonies and my fast forward through them today. Did you hear that a luger died yesterday? I haven't seen news about it yet. How sad. Are Amber and Tyler your grandkids? How old are they?
Chelby - Kids say the cutest things I hope your party happens tonight. Gumbo sounds yummy.
Twynn - Chocolate rationing success! Good for you. What kind do you eat? I want to enjoy it vicariously.
My weekend will be so boring that I can't think of a thing to say! Hmm. Have a great one all. Catch you later.
Good morning, I got the sweat part out of the way LOL! I did my workout first thing this morning.
Okie - Isn't it great when you see results!!! Yeah you
Kara - Sounds like you have a wonderful family weekend planned. I remember when I lived in Germany when I was a girl and my family always did fun stuff on the weekends. We lived there for three years for my 1st through 3rd grade.
Ruth - I agree there are lots of other fun stuff to do like quilting!! How is that going. Would love to see inprogress pictures
Cyndi - Have fun birding!!!
Cat - They have a Mardi Gras party in St. Louis that's pretty big, DH wanted to go to the parade but it's not really kid friendly as there are too many drunks wandering around.
Cottage - That is one of plus of living in the midwest we are an hour behind you so we were able to stay up and watch until the end. It was nice only slight glitch at the end.
Chelby - Hope everyone gets to come to your party tonight and have fun.
Twynn - Good job with the rationing. I find if you get a really good dark chocolate you don't need much to satisfy at all.
Debbie- Have a good weekend.
We had a wonderful time at the 1st grade Olympics last night, all the kids had such a good time. Today is cleaning house and then I think DH and I are going to the movies tonight. Monday is Preview day at the college. We were supposed to be going to Gulfport, MS this weekend to visit my Mom and Dad, we go ever year at this time, but this year the kids didn't get Friday off of school and I just hated to drive 11 hours get there in the wee hours of Saturday morning all tired and turnaround and drive 11 hours on Monday to come home. So, I invited my Mom and Dad to come with us to Orlando at the end of March for Spring Break we rented a Condo with enough space so they are coming with us.
Hey guys,
I'm just stopping in - we are at my parents place this weekend so I won't be around so much, but I'm going to post on the On Plan thread just to keep myself honest. Have a great weekend everyone!
