Default Dessert

I know the plan calls for 3 meals, with 2 snacks and one dessert. My question is does this have to be a dessert or can it be something like pickles or a veggie? I am not big on the options allowed for the desserts.

You can call it dessert or you can call it a snack, but you don't have to eat any of the menus listed in the book. The important thing is to eat every few hours from the acceptable food list. Veggies are great. I like to have a little protein with them like cheese or hummus.

I would assume it is better for you if you do have something healthy for "dessert". Lots of artificial stuff in the sweets! I on the other hand, LIVE for my sweet dessert. :-D

Have what you want if it is OP. I enjoy my little cup of sweetness, SF pudding most nights for dessert. It is the only time of day I have "sweets."

You can eat whatever on-plan food you want! It doesn't have to be sweet. I have recently found that I love plain yogurt. Sometimes I put a scoop of peanut butter in it. My husband thinks it's gross, but it is so yummy!

I don't do dessert either, but sometimes I have another snack, same size/type as my two snacks throughout the day. If I want the dessert snack I have it, if not I don't. I am religious about my two during the day snacks, but the other one is optional.

I'm not big on the dessert options either, though when I got to phase 2 and could have fruit or pudding I liked the dessert option a lot more.

I used to have my serving of nuts in the evening. I like salty treats and pistachios or almonds were a nice TV snack.

Most evenings now I have an Italian cream soda or a milkshake. I got in the habit during the Holiday Challenge because I needed to get 3 servings/dairy in daily. Now I find myself looking at the clock after supper and thinking, "Hmmm, time for a yummy drink." lol

SF hot chocolate is my favorite evening treat, but sweets are my favorite.

I think SF Hot Chocolate with a dollop of light coolwhip alongside a nice hot bath makes any day better and any diet easier
