No time today for individuals girls. My stomach issues are back. GI doctor can't see me until Monday. I am going to call his office back today and see if I can't get an Rx or something but I noticed something fishy with his diagnosis:
I seem to have problems when I am on SB eating fresh foods. I can eat all the crap I want, gain weight and the ulcers bother me but I lose it, drink water, cut my caffeine down to 2 a day and I am a sick mess? I am thinking maybe it's ulcerative colitis instead. Anyway, I will be camped outside the bathroom today (sorry, TMI) but getting some work done before going down to grab some water (need to stay hydrated even if it doesn't stay in me) and [diet] ginger ale. Looks like a FABULOUS day. Grrrr. Hope your hump day is better than mine ladies. |
Kim, I hope you find a perfect cabin with a bath tub! If not, you can come visit us and use ours!
Cyndi, I also didn't like eggplant until recently. I think I've always been served it with the skin on but I cut the skin off mine before cooking it now. We love eggplant in pasta sauce. It's good over spaghetti or even rice! Ruth, I am so glad you have your Paul around! His idea of off-the-floor shelving sounds perfect and I hope he can get them installed quick-like for you. Tammy, I'm sorry you had such a rotten run. I get in running funks, too. That's when I try to change it up for something else. There was a day about a year and a half ago when I went for a run and came home and declared that I never wanted to run again. It just wasn't fun anymore. I think I had gotten grouchier with every step. But I took a couple months off and went back to it. I'm on a running break now because I much prefer running outside and it's way too icy to be safe to do that now. When I finish my P90X cycle, I'm going to start a running routine again. Jenn, I'm so sorry you're having such issues. I wish I had some advice but I don't have any experience in that area. Hope they can figure out an answer soon! |
Kara- with the P90x have you noticed a difference in your body? I told my hubby that he should do the P90x. Although he is in the army as a "drill sergent" he really doesn't get a good workout in PT(physical fitness). He is also slightly broken LOL. His ankle bothers him sometimes when he runs. He says you need to be in good shape to do P90x. Just curious how you like it.

Glad you are feeling better Cottage. Cudos on working out.
:cp: Tammie and Kara on your NSVs. Kim - Where is Ruidoso? A cabin on a river sounds so relaxing. Ruth - I get overwhelmed some mornings when I see all the post before me! Thanks so much for the compliment and for reading. Jenn - So sorry your tummy is not well:( How ironic that the fresh food aggravates things. DS2 came home for a nap! He has no first hour class this year and it is block day so he is trying to get about 30 minutes in. Maybe he should have hopped on DH's new treadmill instead! Need to watch the clock - I can easily get distracted on here and miss leaving for the gym. |
Tammie, I absolutely love P90X. This is my third time through the three month cycle in a year and a half. It's an excellent total body workout. Great warm ups, great variety, great instruction, great motivation, great cooldown and stretches. I really love it. You do have to be in good shape to start it. I was already able to do an hour on the elliptical, could run 5-10 miles at a time, and had been doing yoga for a year. I've also been using resistance workouts since I was very young because of my gymnastics background, so my form is decent. P90X kicked my butt, though, despite being in decent shape already! Obviously, since you do it at home, you can do as much as you are able. I tend to be a glutton for punishment and push myself relentlessly, so that may be part of my problem...
I'd definitely recommend it. It's a fantastic workout! |
Stopping in quickly this morning,
Cyndi that is so great that your dd is volunteering hopefully she will get selected. Jenn sorry to hear that your issue is flaring up again hopefully they can get it figured out. Ruth glad to hear that you will have some help to clean up this morning. Hello to everyone else sorry I don't have time for personals for everyone Back to work, still staying op and getting in my exercise- the scale hasn't moved but my pants are getting more loose even with TOM coming next week. |
Wow, getting in here late is killing me, no time for personals today. Getting kids off to school and chores done before I start work doesn't leave much time for posting. I liked it better when DH was home and would get the kids moving and make the lunches and I could wake up slow and surf a bit.
At the vet's yesterday, we found that Chloe has gained half a pound since July. She's a small cat, and that is a LOT. DH usually feeds the cats, but now that he is gone, I am putting her on a diet along with me. Today is a humpy hump day. My friend will be stopping in for coffee and a visit sometime. The kids have barn time this afternoon at the horse farm, and I've got a Parks & Rec meeting tonight. Then there's that pesky work to squeeze in somewhere! Two good Phase I days down, waiting for day 3 headache to hit, but so far no sign of it - maybe I will be lucky! I've got my beans, dairy, water, and Excedrin ready in case. Have a great hump day all! |
