Good Monday Morning all!

Mmc - I just started yoga this month and really like it. If interested... here is what I said about it in my blog http://www.3fatchicks.com/diet-blogs...in-the-making/

Cottage - What's your name? Although I do like Cottage as a moniker:) I had forgotten those years of valentines. Have to admit that I am glad they are over.

Cyndi - The weather sounds scary. And I bet you have a long winter up there.

Heidi - Catch you later. I know what you are thinking... my sons love snow days but I always think about the add-on at the end of the year.

Kara - Busy day! Eat some fries for me... I love, love, love them.

Jenn - Hope your work day is not horrible. Boy, that sounds pathetic. Let's try this - I hope you have a fabulous day!

Ruth - So nice your dogs let you sleep in:) Of course it is all relative if you are getting to the gym by 7:30! I have to watch the morning distractions too. Like this one!

Debbie - Another early exerciser. Have a great day.

Gym for me too. Monday routine -cycling, yoga, grocery shop. Today DH is thinking about joining me for cycling, not just yoga. I have to say I am not sure how I feel about that! Now I have to worry about finding two bikes together in front of a fan. Hmmm. And will he tag along to Target when I shop? Have I mentioned that he doesn't work outside the house we he is around all the time anyways!!!

Hopefully he will help me finally get a new computer today.

4 weeks on plan now and on here. You guys are the best!

tomandkara 01-25-2010 08:24 AM

Karen, I think your husband loves being with you! What a sweetheart!

WaistingTime 01-25-2010 08:30 AM

Kara - That made me chuckle. I think he is just cheap and doesn't like the idea of driving to the gym in two cars and wasting gas!!

Karen, my real name is Linda. I thought everyone knew, since several of our Beachers here address me as that.
I hope you have a good time working out with your DH! I can't even imagine mine wanting to exercise with me, unless it was walking. ;)

Schmoodle 01-25-2010 08:41 AM

Crap, I just lost a nice, long, chatty post! Well, this will be an edited version...
I'm back from vacation - we had a great time in Florida, and the weather was fabulous. DH is gone, and I got an email yesterday that he's arrived safely in the Phillipines and is on the ship. I'm looking forward to getting back into our normal routine, including strict SB. I'm planning a two week Phase I re-entry. I planned to walk this morning, but it's pouring, so I'll try one of my new exercise DVDs at lunch instead. All you gym-rats are making me feel guilty. Today is three-telecon Monday, so I'll need to get up out of my office chair and move some. I've got some of Cyndi's refried beans in the crock pot and some chicken breasts thawing for dinner.
Unfortunately, I've got a business trip to Charleston next week and another to Dallas the following week. I'm going to try to get out of one or both; I'm really not in the mood to travel again so soon. I think I can easily ditch Dallas, but not so sure about Charleston. If I do get to Dallas, I'll see if our Barb is free for dinner.

Mmc, congrats on your ticker! I've killed mine temporarily as it was just too depressing.
cottage, wow, time to think about Valentines already? Spring will be here before we know it. I'm always surprised after doing yoga that it really feels like I've had a workout! Let's look on the bright side, all this rain could be snow!
Cyndi, be safe on that road today!
Heidi, I'm surprised those Wiis are still hard to find now that Christmas is past.
Kara, have fun at your class tonight.
Jenn, I hope your day isn't too tough.
Ruth, if you are immature too, then I don't feel so bad. I keep wondering when I'm going to grow up and get responsible.
Lexxis, have a great day!
Waisting, I hear you about DH. When he is not away from home working, he is home on vacation for months at a time and underfoot. Since I telecommute, it really cramps my style. Feast or famine around here! Congrats on your one month anniversary!

Well, no putting it off any longer, vacation is really over and it's time to get to work! Have a great beachly Monday all.

Ruthxxx 01-25-2010 08:47 AM

I think a separate Wii thread is a great idea so those of us without one won't be jealous.

NOW I am on my way out the door. My car is beautifully clean but the spring flood is in the dog yard. Jazz just splashed through it but dainty Disney sticks to the high ground. I think she saw enough water during Katrina!

tammies00 01-25-2010 08:52 AM

MMC- Yeah on the ticker. I think I should be getting mine sometimes this week.

Kara-Great deal on the wii fit.

Cyndi I don't like lunges either.

Jenn Good luck this afternoon with the call. Sending lots of positive vibes!

Morning Debbie have a great day

Cottage we need to get valentine days cards here too. DD loves to do them ds isn't as excited!

Karen- Great job on 4 weeks. Coming here does make this way of eating easier! I like cycling but my neither region didn't enjoy it as much! So sweet about hubby.

Ruth your furbabies make me laugh.

Smoodle Great job on getting back on track after the vacation.

Me- Not much going on here. I have to go to work today. I really need more time in my day. Maybe if I'd get my butt out of bed earlier I would have more time. HAHAHA

tomandkara 01-25-2010 10:09 AM

Karen, that's funny! It's all about perspective!

Schmoo, welcome home! Glad to hear your husband made it safely to the ship. Is it another four month rotation?

Tammie, I feel the same way that you do about cycling. My nether regions don't care for it either. Nice trips around town are fine, but I can't be on that bike too long.

I got that cleaning done and the kids finished their homework and homeschool. We're off to Kuk Sool now!

Kim_Star060404 01-25-2010 10:14 AM

Good morning, all! I woke up late this morning, but I did make it to work on time. The pile on my desk has gotten bigger since I left on Friday, somewhat miraculously since nobody was here all weekend.

Well, I've got to get my stuff together if I'm going to get this all done. I hope you all have a great day!

Schmoodle 01-25-2010 10:25 AM

Hi Kara, yes, 4 mos or so.

sophie 01-25-2010 10:38 AM

good morning ladies,

MMC- congratulatons on the ticker, keep it moving in the right direction.

Ruth - drive carefully I hope you aren't having the fog we have here.

Cyndi, Cottage - I really don't know anything about wii but I think if it told me unpleasant things it wouldn't make my day.

Heidi - A routine day is great.

Jenn - hope your day turns out good.

Debbie - did I miss something, are you going to Arizona. Enjoy your project day.

Kara - Cleaning is always there. Enjoy the kiddies.

Waisting - my DH is retired and at first I thought it wouldn't make much difference and kept ignoring him but slowly he has sucked me into his day but I don't mind.

Tammies and Kim - have a nice day.

Schmoodle - nice to see that you are back safely and I am sure you will make time fly by while hubby is away.

me - I have been in a quiet mode. Going to make some soup for lunch and really sad because my son's very good friend since high school is in the hospital probably with no hope. She is 28 and is fighting cancer. She had lymphoma at the age of 12 and was in remission and now its back with avengence. I know it happens every day but when its someone you know its hard.
take care
Sophie

Hello again

I'm guessing the wii console must be pretty hard to find everywhere right now. Even online most of the sites we're used to using are saying that they're back ordered. We live in a rural area, but went to Auburn/Lewiston where they have Best Buy, WalMart, KMart, BullMoose, 2 GameStops and a couple of other small shops my son knew of. None had them in stock and none knew for sure when they'd get another shipment. BestBuy had the game - but I didn't want to buy it without a console. Hopefully I won't regret that decision down the line.

So, for now I'll be happy with my treadmill and assorted DVDs.

:carrot: Kara I'm glad you could get a wii fit plus so quickly/easily! I can't wait to hear how you like it! :carrot:

Jenn - how can you resist an offer like Kara's?
I'm hoping your day will be much, much better than you expect.

Ruth, what a good plan! It's warming up now - more rain than snow/ice so I think I'll pull the Durango out of the garage and see if some of they salt and road smut will wash off. :D

Debbie, your post made me smile a little - you're up before the chickens every day. :D I know, I know - you slept a little late for YOU. :) Still made me smile though. I hope you had a great time at the gym and the pool!

Karen and Sophie, my DH is retired and home every day now. It's a huge change - for the first part of our marriage he was a soldier and gone way more than I liked, and recently he'd been working as an oil burner/lp technician and on call many nights and evenings. I was so thankful when he had the opportunity to take an early retirement because I worried about him working so hard. Anyway, I love it during the summer when we're both home and both spend a lot of time outdoors puttering around (together and alone). During the school year it's not so much fun though. I feel like the only time I have to myself is the drive to and from work. lol And we haven't quite worked out a fair distribution of labor. ;) My fault I suppose. It galls me to come home from a long day and face dishes, laundry, etc. but all those years when the kids were little and I was home with them Fergie never complained when he came home to a messy house. He'd either pitch in or ignore it. So I figure I can do the same. lol

Sophie, I'm so sorry to read about your son's friend. I'll keep her and her family and friends in my prayers.

Ruthxxx 01-25-2010 11:41 AM

Well, going later takes longer. There is another bunch of gabby folks there and I just got home now! Drove home through fog but did pick up my mail. My pension went up by $14 a month. Now what shall I buy?

tomandkara 01-25-2010 01:11 PM

Congrats on the raise, Ruth!!!

Kim, hope you get everything done!

Sophie, I'm sorry to hear the news about your son's friend. That is never easy to deal with.

Heidi, I'm sorry you couldn't find the Wii. I wonder if they're still on backorder since Christmas.

Not to rub it in but we are going to go try out the Wii Fit now! I'm so excited!

WaistingTime 01-25-2010 01:27 PM

Hello LINDA! I guess I am not very observant. Nor do I have a good memory.

Schmoodle - You sound busy! I would love to try those beans... maybe you or Cyndi can post a link if the recipe is on here (since my quick search didn't turn it up). When DH first lost his job and was home full-time... I was my highest weight ever - no coincidence. I miss having a quiet, clean, empty house to myself for part of each day.

Tammie - I could tell you some nether region cycling stories but think it would be way TMI! But you do get used it. And I agree.... coming here makes everything better when on SB!

Kim - Have a great day yourself!

Sophie - Sorry about your son's friend:(

Heidi - I hear you about that distribution of labor. We seem to have fallen into one, but never talked about it. And somehow there is less cleaning going on now with two of us home. It has it's pros and cons to have him around.

Ruth - $14 dollars... hmm. Maybe save it up all year and buy a Wii game!

That Wii better be available if I go to buy one because when it first came out my son was dying for one and DH and I stood in early morning lines and visited tons of stores to find one. Which DS played for a short time, then he decided to sell it to his cousin. Who'd have thought I'd want it myself!
