Default Yogurt

Hi
I am starting South Beach tomorrow. I have found lots of great recipes on this site. But I keep getting conflicting ideas about yogurt. Can you eat nonfat yogurt that is not plain? I am having a hard time finding the plain kind.
Thanks

Hi Annabelle! According to the latest food list for Phase 1, you are only allowed plain nonfat yogurt. I'm surprised you are having a hard time finding it in the supermarkets. It's usually right with the other yogurts. You can also have nonfat Greek yogurt, if that's available to you. You may flavor your plain yogurt with SF jello powder, SF jam, or Crystal Light to make it more palatable for you, or even mix in a little cocoa powder and artificial sweetener. I like to add cinnamon, a splash of vanilla extract, and splenda to mine.

Once you are in Phase 2, you may enjoy the nonfat flavored yogurts.
