I wanted to hop in and introduce myself. I've been posting on 3FC (mostly in 20-somethings) on and off for a while now. I was previously doing WW but have switched to SB at the suggestion of my therapist...mostly to curb my binge eating. Today is day 2.
I live in NC and work full time as a middle school guidance assistant and go to school part time for nursing (technically I'm pre-nursing) as I am fulfilling my pre-reqs to get into nursing school.
to The Beach, Feral.
I split your post into a separate thread so folks who don't check out the daily will know that there is yet more competition for the cabana boys!
Thanks for moving my post Ruth! LOL More competition....You're already cracking me up!
Thanks again for the warm welcomes! I think I'm gonna like it here on this beach!
Melanie - if you don't mind me asking what part of NC? I'm just outside of Raleigh (not TOO far east, but more east than some).
Beachgal - that makes me feel better! I usually have a sweet tooth at night and was really surprised I didn't even want my fudgesicle last night!
Feral, I don't mind! I live in a small rural county which has been steadily developing the past few years, Pamlico County. It's right by Craven County (Havelock, New Bern, the birthplace of Pepsi, lol, etc). We people in this county have to drive to New Bern just to go to a Walmart! One of my besties lives in Raleigh, a lot of people I know went to college somewhere around there.
Melanie - you live near the beach... I'm jealous! I really am a beach bum (no pun intended).
Cottage - I'll just look at your cabana boys. I don't know if I'm up for training one. Eye candy is great... but sometimes the work isn't worth all of that! LOL
We live about an hour away from the big atlantic beach but in our county there's Oriental, the one and only tourist attraction and it has a very small beach where I used to party at when I was younger. When we were kids we used to swim there all the time.
We used to go through Oriental on our way down to Camp Seafare to pick up my BFF growing up to go to Figure 8. We were invited by her family .... so I know where you're talking about!!!!
I'm about 1.5-2 hours from Wilmington depending on who is driving.
