Default Interesting and somewhat geeky article

Scientists Discover Why A Low GI Meal Makes You Feel Full
Eating a meal with a low GI (glycaemic index) increases gut hormone production which leads to suppression of appetite and the feeling of fullness.

More evidence of how, and why, this way of life works for so many people.

Yay for scientists confirming what we're experiencing! I definitely experienced the opposite with high GI meals. I used to eat two pkgs of instant oatmeal (with sugar) and a bagel (enriched flour) with light cream cheese every morning and be hungry in an hour or two. Now I can have a cup of cottage cheese and be full for hours. Who knew?
