Default White Clam Sauce

I have been craving this but can't find a recipe that doesnt have 1/2 cup of butter ANy ideas?
I want to have it with Shirataki noodles

Just use your usual recipe but saute in olive oil. Here's a simple one using canned minced clams. I'd be inclined to add some milk and thicken it with an egg yolk to make it creamier.

that looks so good! the kind my gramma used to buy was actually clear I think I'd double the clams or so but I'm craving thema nd their b12 goodness

Oooh, that looks yummy Ruth. If you wanted the creaminess, you could experiment with adding evaporated skim milk and/or LCLC. Maybe some arrowroot powder to thicken. That's what I do for cream soups. I've been hankering for some cream of crab lately.

When I want creaminess, I opt for fat-free cream cheese and ffree chicken broth--if you need to thicken, just use cornstarch..sounds yummy

KO, if you want it to be healthy and taste like butter, just use the regular Smart Balance (or some other "trans fat free" margarine).
