can i have this on sbd

  • bfl turkey meatloaf- i love this recipe wondering if i can eat this

1 1/2 lbs lean ground turkey
    1 onion, chopped
    4 egg whites
    1 cup salsa
    3/4 cup old-fashioned oats, uncooked
1 pkg knorr vegetable soup mix
    1/4 tbsp ground black pepper
1/2 cup ketchup *i hate ketchup so never use this much...its on top anyways
  • I'm not sure what the Knorr Vegetable Soup mix has in it, so I would check that out first. And for the ketchup, you can substitute one made with Splenda. Otherwise, the recipe looks OK for Phase 2.
  • knorr vegetable soup mix

    fat 0g
    sodium 700mg
    carbohydrate 6g
    sugar less than 1g

ingredients: dehydrated vegetables, malodextin, potato starch, salt, hydrolyzed corn protein, monosodium glutamate, partially hydrogenated soymean oil, yeast extract, onion powder, tomato powder, spice, caramel color, disodium guanylate, disodium inosinate
  • Sorry, but that soup mix is a no-no. Potato starch is the third ingredient listed, plus it contains corn protein and lots of other necessary chemicals. How about substituting a vegetable puree such as carrots or squash, instead?
  • If I was you I would look at some soup mix alternatives like maybe some salad dressing mix packages... I sometimes like the ranch in stuff... you can definitely find some that are more natural than others... BUT, to be honest, I use the knorr stuff a couple times a month in different recipes(especially spin dip) its very potent and I would honestly doubt that you would need to use the whole package in the recipe- I bet that would turn out quite spicy
