Start fresh?

  • Okay, so as much as I don't want to, I'm thinking I might need to go back to Phase 1 for a week to help rid me of my cravings. I have been loosing control after months of being a good dieter, and grains are my nemesis. I don't seem to have the will power that I did in the beginning. Have any of you been here, and what worked for you? Phase 1, or Phase 2 week 1?
  • I would try a few days to a week of pure, clean phase 1 eating. It shouldn't take long to break those cravings.

    After eating five Cinnabun minis today at the mall, I'm definitely back on Phase 2, week 1 tomorrow and I'm going to do it for a week. How long have you been off track or craving? What do you think is setting off your cravings now?
  • hmm. I guess I've been slipping for a few weeks now. Even though I'd really like to stick to 2 starches 2 fruits every day, I've been eating only 1 fruit and 3 or sometimes 4 starches. Last night I ate 3/4 of a medium thin crust pizza, plus a really fattening dessert.
    Today, though, I started like it was Phase 1 week 1, and have had only 1 starch and 1 fruit. I ate lots of veggies like usual, but I may have come up short on protein.
    I think it really starts for me when I allow myself dark chocolate or a little taste of ice cream. those are definately triggers! before i eat them, i think i can handle it, but it turns out that is not the case. i decided to stick to 1/1 for a week and see how well i do.

    If you're on Phase I you should not be eating either fruit or starches.

    OK I think you need to just start over. You have to get rid of those cravings. And as murphmitch says, you cannot have fruit or starches in P1. There are stickies that you may need to read so you can't get back on track. Just say no to the dough! You can do this!
