This job isn't a temp to perm, it's just a catch us up! help! 911 call ;).
Lisa, hope you get back on track and not running late soon here! Still praying about the job for you! Awe, Pacer, thats not fun waiting for someone else to do there job so we can do what we need to do! ko! Hope you feel better Gonna! Laurie, bike rides are awesome exercise! ((pear)) hope you and DH work things out! Hugs. Just did a 20 min boot camp strengthening... I know I'm going to like this through the winter months! I will be getting Jade out for walks but this has cardio boosts and weight strengthening (I have yet to do the strict cardio session yet)... I like it for time crunching, and I tend to not do the hour long work outs I have. This I plan to do two to three times a week in addition to walking the dog! I like it! |
Good morning all!!! Happy hump day!
Ruth - Sounds like you're going to be really busy today. Enjoy your lunch and deviled eggs! Noemi - Welcome to the chat. I think you've been here before, regardless, have a good day at work! Cottage - Have fun making Halloween crafts with your girls for the play room. Sounds like a lot of fun. I hope the dizzy's go away. Cyndi - So is the tat you got at 40 your only one??? I think you might need a new one to celebrate your new body ;) Loriann - Even if it's just temp, it's still a good option to get you out and about and bring in some money. Hope you enjoy it!!! Nessa - How cute!!!! I'm sure he'll get more comfortable soon. Poor baby, he's really been through a lot. But he looks like such the love. Phxsunflower - Good to hear from you. Weezle - I hope you hear soon. I think the worst part is the waiting. Said a prayer to calm your heart. Hang in there! Stephanie - Good luck on the move! That's so exciting! KO - MORNING!!! Gonnabe - So what'd you think of Biggest Looser? I thought the new teams are an interesting twist. Next week looks interesting, huh??? Laurie - I hate it when I forget to pull things out for the crockpot the night before. Kind of put s a damper on the day. I hope you're able to enjoy the rest of the day. Looking forward to the soup recipe! Pearlrose - What's a wfh day? Can't seem to figure it out, but I'm guessing it's good.....so ENJOY!!!! Me - Dishwasher is finally being installed today :carrot:, and my sister is coming over for dinner tonight. She's been out of work, but had a good interview yesterday. She says they will let her know today if she got the job. So hopefully tonight will be a celebratory dinner. Should be fun! Quiet, short day at work as I have to come home and be with the pups while they install. But that's actually quite nice ;) Have a good one!!! ENJOY!!! |
Laurie your bike ride sounds great
Pearl hope you and your dh work things out Loriann what bootcamp video are you doing? I love my billy blanks one Hmac good luck with the dishwasher. As far as biggest loser (i can't say much as I promised Kim since she can't watch til sunday) I am not liking Heba and Vicky is getting lazy - I so want collen to win. |
Gonna, this is Denise Austins bootcamp. I chose it over billy because it's only 20 mins, not 40 like Billy's... . I tend to NOT do the longer ones after a spell! ;).
Pls keep my son in prayer. I just got a call from the temp agency and they are letting go everyone they just hired with my son :(. However, they might be moving him to another line in another town same company., but not sure how Joe would get to that job! |
Hi everyone; fly-by for me as we were really running late this morning. It is cold and wet and we just didn't want to get out of bed!
I hope everyone has a great day! Here's some :dust: to pass around! |
Lori, hope things work out with your son.
Lisa, sounds like they really went overboard with interviews--90 people??? Yikes!!!! :fr: I know it's hard to question things, but I find that I have lots of reasons to be thankful for unanswered prayers, as Garth would put it. ;) If you don't get this one, there's a good reason and I know a better one will be out there for you. Still, you're in my prayers. KO: "catholic speed dial" :lol3: I love that!!! |
Hmac- wfh = work from home.
-- Morning girls! FINALLY got the computer installed and the modem up and running. We've been rather lazy about it...I've felt so disconnected! The move went well. We had more people show up than we had anticipated, which was great. Got the entire move done in about 5 hours and took everyone out for pizza afterwards. Unpacking still...the place really needed a good cleaning. The tenants before us had a dog and there is dog hair in every crack, crevice and corner in the house. DH's allergies are going insane. I've spent the past few nights on my hands and knees scrubbing the floors. DH bought me a steam cleaner, but if the floors aren't relatively clean to begin with, I go through the pads too fast. It will come in handy though after the initial cleaning is done! It does work really well, I've cleaned the kitchen floor nightly with it. There is also a minor ant problem. I bought some traps and hopefully they won't be around for long. DH put some repellent around the perimeter of the house Our friends are moving into our old home this weekend, which means I need to get over there and pick up the rest of our pantry food and the rest of DH's clothes in the closet. It is already pretty clean, but I thought I would do a bit of sprucing before they moved in. Maybe buy a pretty bouquet of flowers or something to welcome them. I have a buttload of clothes left to put away, although I finally got all of DS' clothes separated and put away the ones that fit him/were in season. The dining room is finished, living room is finished (save for a faulty cable box that was installed yesterday), DS' room finished, Bathrooms SPOTLESS and everything put away. My MIL and DH have been a great help. I hope everyone else is having a great week so far! I missed you guys! |
ZEFF! Great to see you... Hey, grab some Borax! put a little down near the crevices and the ants will take it back to the nest so not only kills them, but the entire colony(s)! Just make sure ds can't get too it (put like behind fridge, stove etc!)
|
Lori - thanks for the borax suggestion. I didn't know it worked on ants as well, I've only used it for roaches in the past.
THANKFULLY this is an ant problem and not roaches...ants, I can handle...roaches, not so much. Also, DS is taking to this place really well. He slept in our room on his mattress for the first two nights, but last night and the night before he has been sleeping very well in his new race car bed. He has enjoyed unpacking all of his toys - it must be like Christmas to him. |
Zeff, it works GREAT on ants! I had ants getting in my kitchen, put it down for a day, then cleaned up remaining borax and have not had an ant since!
I also had some coming on my patio outside (it's right next to dirt) and haven't had a problem since putting it down for two days. Yes, I still have ants out there (which we need and want) but not coming where I try and read! ;) NSV! I put on several size 14's that I couldn't even pull up, and the fit! ONLY I will not wear just yet, need to loose a couple more pounds only because they make "muffin tops" (I hate that look). I AM wearing a size 12 right now but they are stretch jeans... but look AWESOME!@!!!!!! (no muffin top either!) |
Loriann, that is awesome news! Size 14's and 12's... HOW EXCITING!
I told myself that my reward to getting back to a 14 is a nice new pair of jeans. Can't wait to get there!! Zeff - glad to hear your move went well and you are settling nicely into your new place. Me: My toothache is better. Yesterday I was going insane! I have been staying on top of my pain pills, I don't want to get to the point I was at yesterday. I am going back tomorrow. Hopefully we'll figure this out tomorrow and I can put all the pain meds away. I had to take the Vicodin last night just to sleep. That stuff make my head feel funny. I woke up in a fog and felt so out of sorts until it wore off at 9am. I am sharp as a tack now. Don't want to go back there! Hopefully the antibiotics are starting to work too... How did it get this bad?!? Got the kids Halloween costumes worked out. DD is going to be Dora, complete with a little wig and DS is going to be Spiderman. He is tall and slender, his costume has muscular arms and chest... looks nice with his skinny chicken legs! LOL |
Goodmorning ladies :)
Ruth, lol@beating cottage this morning:lol: I started out reading the posts with a good laugh! Cottage, thanks for the warm hello yesterday. I hope you are feeling better. Kim, ty! It's nice to meet you too! :) Gonnabe, regarding the walking video...sounds like you found your ticket, thats great! Lorianne, I'm a real fan of denise austin, she rocks! In the past, I had gotten in great shape with her videos. I still have the old ones which I cannot part with (the complete workout and fat burner one). She incorporates a lot of upperbody work which I especially like. I will look into her bootcamp one too, I bet it's good. Good luck with the temp job and congratulationsssssss on those jeans :carrot: wtg! Weezle, good luck with the position as well. Zeff, glad the move went well and was speedy, congrats again on being into your new place : ). Nessa, congratulationssssssss on your new pup! : ) To all the rest of you ladies, a big hello! I'm in a bit of a hurry but a quick note on mynews. I feel good today and planwise everything is going very well. Dh is taking a half day today and I'm real h appy about that.
