How is everyone on this day midway through the week? Whoo, tomorrow's Thursday already!
I'm enjoying my coffee before I'm off to the car dealership. My darned engine light is on again, it's been going on and off for a few weeks now, so I think it's time to have it checked again. Jake thinks it's probably just debris in the fuel line, I hope that's all it is! It runs fine, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I hope that doesn't take all morning before I have to meet Maggie's bus. I'm staying late tonight with the girls, so after gymnastics I'm taking them out for supper. They have off school the next two days, so I can let them stay up a little later tonight.
I just have to share a bit of good news since I'm such a proud MIL. My son-in-law won the Barrymore Awards this year!
Wow, Cottage! That's like winning a Tony, isn't it? You must be really proud.
Another sunny day is coming up although it's darn cold out there. Still no killing frost though. We usually have one by now. I'll do some puttering around outside later today. I felt pretty rough yesterday so just rested and napped away the day.
I need to make a comprehensive grocery list because I have baking to do for the Church sale and the Pypers coming for the weekend. Tomorrow looks like a rainy day so I may shop then.
Cottage - Hopefully the light is just one of those sensor things. Seems like those lights go on for small things more often than not. Congratulations to the SIL!
Ruth - Cold here too, but just little bits of frost. I hope your rest day helped and you're feeling more yourself today. Sounds like a nap or two might be a good idea today too.
Yesterday one of my garden project child care programs gave me several lbs of tomatillos she had left. Those are going to be soooo good this winter! I'm hoping to pick up some bargains at the Farmer's Market today too though I may have to give up sleep to get everything processed
Things are almost back to normal around home. That should mean I can make the planned trip to the folks in NY this weekend. Now to get everything in between now and Friday!
Me... Started a study that I'm excited about on the Fear of God yesterday. Next Thursday the ladies at church start their Bible Study group. I believe it goes for six weeks. We are studying the promises for women. I'm excited at a chance to talk with some of the ladies. It seems everyone files in, has service and files out! this will be a chance to get to know some of them! Right now I feel odd at church. Oh well!
Cottage - Congratulations to your SIL that is great
Ruth - Glad no frost yet for you.
Cyndi - Glad to hear that things are going good.
TMI - Have a great day
Lori- Glad that you found a Bible study, that is great.
This week I have to be at work all week no wfh days sigh..... Got the form I needed now I am waiting to hear from the guy who wanted to buy the truck, hope he doesn't change his mind.
Cottage - Computer cars are so frustrating! Congrats to your SIL
Ruth - busy, busy lady! Have a good day.
Cyndi - oooh, tomatillos. I had no idea what to do with them until this past year. I <3 them.
Loriann - I'm glad you're getting to know some people! Have fun!
tmig and pearlrose - have a great day!

AH!! It's Wednesday already. Packing is coming along, but I was hoping to start the kitchen yesterday - no luck. DS has been extra needy the past few days, I think he is worried about everything being packed up.
More people from freecycle coming today. Hopefully they all show up. It's been embarrassing opening the door in sweats and disheveled hair with an extremely disorganized home.
off to putter around and get some breakfast going.
I'm back from the car shop, it seems I just need a tune-up. $$$. That will have to wait for next payday. And, of course, the engine light didn't come on this morning.
Since I had planned on my morning being shot, now I have a few extra hours. I think once the dew burns off, I'll get outside and cut back some perrenials and get my roses pruned for the winter.
ZEFF, you should take DS by your new place and show him where you're going to be living. Explain to him he'll have a big new room and make it sound exciting and positive. That will work wonders to reassure him about the move.
Cottage - we've done that quite a few times. If you ask him about the place, he gets excited. He really likes the stairs (do all boys like the most dangerous things?) and loves to talk about the stairs that lead up to his room.
I can imagine that seeing all of your toys and everything else that you're used to seeing get put in a box can be rather disconcerting. He hasn't been sleeping well at night.

Cyndi - DH requested the oatmeal custard again today. He said that it kept him full until lunch time - which is quite a feat!
Cottage congrats to your SIL. How does one get an award like that?
Ruth try not to bake yourself silly
Loriann your bible study sounds great - Enjoy!
tmi I hope ds enjoys karate
Zeff they understand your moving and no ones house looks good during a move
This evening I'm gonna put some of the halloween decorations outside and then finish up with them this weekend but othr than that dh says it's a free pass to sit in the recliner .... we will just see about that.
G-g-g-g-morning girls. Crap I'm cold! We left the windows open last night. It's currently 49, so God knows how cold it got. We were both too snuggly under the comforter to get up and shut them. I didn't even realize it was freezing in here til I had to use the potty at 3:30am (tea before bed again.) Just ran the heat for a few minutes to get the chill out. Brought it up to 69 from 64, so with a sweatshirt and sweatpants, I'm a little better now. My bones are cold though!
Busy busy busy week this week. I have a face-to-face interview at Blue Cross Blue Shield tomorrow. Keep praying!!!!! I already gave myself a mani so my nails will be nice, minus the one that got completely ripped off while putting the Game Zone together at work.
Ugh gotta get ready already. Hope you girls have a good day!
Good morning ladies!!! Happy Hump Day!!!!
Ruth - OK.....Barrymore awards are really prestigious. What did he win for? That's really exciting!!! Glad to hear that it's just a tune up!
Cottage - A long day shopping means heading into the city, right? Hope you get everything done!
Cyndi - Enjoy those tomatillos. How do you think you'll use all of them?? Are you going to make a bunch of salsa??
Loriann - Enjoy the study. I think it'll be go for you to meet up with other women. Hope all goes well!
tmi - Hope all goes well with your son and karate!
Pearlrose - Hope all goes well with the truck sale today!
Zeff - I'm sure those coming to your house to pick up stuff completely understand that your house is in boxes and you are in sweats. Don't fret it!!!
Gonnabe - Enjoy your Halloween decorations!! Such a fun reminder of fall!
Weezle - Hope you're all warmed up now. Good luck on your interview!
ME - I feel so much better this morning than I did on Monday. Got in a 2 mile walk which felt good. It's still really dark when I get up, I'm hoping the time change will help things, but somehow I don't think it will. I'm at work for the entire day today. We're having Back to School night and I'm needed to be there. However, it'll give me the chance to tackle my office, which has completely exploded. I really need to get it together!
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!
ENJOY!!!!
Good morning, everyone! Yes, I am still alive. It's just been crazy here the past month. I was sick with a sinus and respiratory infection, we had family in and had a yard sale, and work is kicking my butt with deadlines being completely ignored by certain coworkers.
Anyhow, the scale is holding steady at 200, but I'm hoping to break through it by the end of the week. I'm back to working out after not doing it all last week due to being sick. I'm also back to a pretty workable eating plan.
No time for personals this morning, but I just wanted to say, hey. I'm here. Doing the best I can for right now.
