Actually, it's pretty small...maybe about a foot long and 4 or 5 inches wide. Hide it under the bed!

Zeff, what's your DH's online name? Or is it not chat-friendly? ;) Tommy is Colonel, Dethaeus, Darkaos, Deathrez, etc. I also learned what it means to be "ganked." Boy does it honk him off when the hackers gank his uber toon and rob him of his XP so he can't level. I feel like I'm learning a new language.

And I thought you were going to say that your water broke or something! Whew. Just boob leakage. I almost had a stroke. Soon as I saw "wet bed" I glanced at your tickie and was like "THAT'S WAY TOO EARLY!!!!"

Ruth, sounds like a lovely service at church today! I don't know how you don't lose your mind staying so busy with all the cooking, baking, and socializing!

Cyndi, let me know how the beans turn out! I'd love the recipe!

Lori, enjoy your apple picking!

Cat, sounds like an eventful day! Spaghetti sounds good..... I do love Italian food.

Tommy was up at 5:30 this morning. Apparently the pizza last night gave him bad dreams and so he just got up. I went back to sleep for a couple of hours, but I'm still a little tired. Time for some tea!

Going to the mall today. Clinique is giving away mad free gifts with the purchase of $21.50 or more, so I'm heading on down! I think I'm going to get their brightening skin care regimen. It's $100 worth of stuff for $56, plus the free gift of 2 makeup bags, the clarifying lotion 2, dramatically different moisturizing lotion, a lipstick, compact with blush/eyeshadow duo/bronzer, and a mascara. Like I didn't just buy myself a ton of makeup. I don't know what it is about this time of year, but I go a little crazy with the skin care/makeup.

I also have a free panty at Victoria's Secret. WOO HOO! Then 30% off everything at Kohl's, and coupons for Express and Macy's. Hot diggity daffodil! I'm excited.

Well, time for my tea and maybe some of my book. Tom's enjoying his game on this fine Sunday morning. Hope you girls have a great day!

Lisa

Cyndi - what software program do you use for recipes? I've been looking for something easier than just a collection of word documents.

akacutie 10-05-2008 10:13 AM

Good Morning ladies!

It looks like you guys have been up for a little while! :)

Femmecreole- LOL! I wish I had a of your kitchen toys.... I may have the least kitchen gadets of anyone I know. I don't even have a microwave! I did recently buy a crockpot though and I LOVE it! :D Also have fun with the puppies!

Zeff- Did you have any luck finging free or cheap moving boxes yet? What day is the move?

Lori- Have fun picking apples today! I would love to pick fresh apples but we don't have an orchard near us. Too bad!

Ruth- Your church sounds like a lot of fun! It sounds like a really neat time.

Cindi- I'd be interested in your reciepe for crock pot refried beans. Did you find it in the receipe section? If not- will you share?? :hun:

All this talk about spinach artichoke dip is really making want some!!! I will have to mosey over to the recipe section to grab it. YUMMMM :p

I am excited to say that after two solid weeks on Phase II the scale has finally moved! I lost 8lbs in PI and then didn't budge for the next two weeks as I experimented with adding in a new food each of the two weeks. Finally today I am down 3lbs! :yay:

Later today I am going to finally try spaghetti squash. I found a yummy looking receipe and have the squash. I am ready! LOL The only thing I will be doing is study for a physiology test that is on Tuesday!

Have a great end of the weekend ladies!

Good morning ladies,

Sounds like everyone is having a nice weekend. Cat your yesterday sounded really nice...:)

Yesterday was fun, got DD nails done and her hair turned out great. We got all the girls together and got pictures of them when they were done getting ready, I will have to post once I download them.

We decided to sell DS Blazer on Craig's List already got two calls from guys who know how to fix up cars, that might be coming over later to see if they want. We had the 66 Mustang towed to our mechanic to see what he can do with it, the emergence brake froze on it for sitting so long, but I know the boys had it almost running on their own.

This morning we are off to Church and that is about it. DH doesn't play video games but DS definitely is into the video games. DH is more into utube.

Have a great day everyone.

I've used Mastercook for about 10 years and love it. It's really popular online which means more free cookbooks than even I could ever want and it's easy to import recipes into. I always wanted something I could search by ingredient when it's a fridge cleaning dinner ;)

* Can't remember who recommended Post Punk Kitchen's seitan recipe but it's absolutely amazing. Thanks!

I just popped in to say a quick "hello"! Life has thrown some unexpected turns at me, and I've been pretty busy! I'm hanging in there, though. Take care!

good morning,
I too am a kitchen gadget queen. Right now my favourite is my apple peeler and slicer. I can peel and slice ten apples under 4 minutes.
I have a 42" long 4 self unit along one side of my kitchen wall and it holds quite a few of my small appliances not to mention a closet off my kitchen which hold more items.
As for cookbooks, I won't even go there.
Today I have to make some soup for the week for DH. and stuff I can put in my freezer because DH is disconnecting stove and dishwasher so he can move a counter about 18". It will make things more spacish in my cooking area. Also very soon we are replacing the 27 year old linoleum with hardwood floor Can't wait because washing and waxing it doesn't help any more.
Have a nice SBD day everyone
sophie

Good morning all!!!!

Had a good day yesterday. Finally got some cleaning done, washed our comforter on the bed (which needed it badly!), got all of my Halloween decorations out, and caught up on some of my tv shows. And then in the evening friends came over and we went out for Thai (we have a good place that serves brown rice) and then played 80's Trivial Pursuit. Had a great time!!!
Today we're headed to church, and then I've got to do weekly grocery shopping. I'm planning on having egg muffins for breakfast this week, so I need to bake those as well. Tonight we're out for dinner again. This time meeting up with a writing friend of my dh's to talk about working on a blog together. Hopefully the night won't be too long.
So I'm off now to get my grocery list going. Have a lovely Sunday, Ladies!!!
ENJOY!!!!

Good morning ladies, well it's going on afternoon now! lol :)

It's so nice to read everyones posts. It's getting chilly here as well, I'm on the east coast in Mass. We recently got a wood stove insert for the fireplace to help heat the house as the oil bill was outrageous last winter. I was skeptical at first as to how efficient it was but I just love it! It really warms up the room and it's cozy.

I'm OP this weekend, we usually go out to dinner on sat. nights but I skipped it last night because I had already bought the ingredients and planned my meals and somehow didn't want to go to dinner so early in the phase (on day 3 now, ph1). In the past , I would go to chile's sometimes and get the gg chicken dinner but much to my dismay I found out awhile back that it has about 2,400 mg sodium in it! Ugh! I am watching my sodium intake.

DH and I went for a nice walk in a nearby quaint town along the river, it was a little chilly at first but we warmed up from walking, we got in a total of 40 minutes and it felt great. I had eaten a nice chef salad I made before heading out but hubby hadn't eaten as he was so busy puttering around the house so we stopped in to this restaurant during our walk. Glad I ate and wasn't hungry ladies. We sat in the lounge and Dh ordered an appetizer and they brought out a basket of bread and butter! I didn't touch it.

We went to kmart after , Dh needed mulch. I saw this really neat pet bed so we picked it up for the little darlings. I have 4 cats and a little pomeranian : ). Foxy (the pom) has her own bed from when she was a pup and has never taken to a new one but one of the kitties loved it and slept it in all night! lol soooooooo cute!

I should get my tail moving, I have some things to do around here...the never ending domestic duties! lol There is a fall harvest festival taking place today that we may go to later this afteroon.

Hope you all have a wonderful day! :)

femmecreole 10-05-2008 12:36 PM

Full, that's neat your pom's name is Foxy...here's a story about that..

Years ago when my kids were little, it was around the holidays and we took them to a nearby town that had a Christmas thing going on downtown. One book store is in a beautiful Acadian raised cottage and on the high porch in the rocking chair sat Santa with a pom. in his lap. My daughter (now 27) got huge eyes and pointed and said "Look Mama, Santa's got a FOX!"

zeffryn 10-05-2008 01:51 PM

Cyndi - I'll have to give Mastercook a try. It sounds interesting.

Akacutie - yes, I found some boxes. Uhaul had a few free ones (!) and I also found some on freecycle. The little ladies in DH's office love him, so he buttered them up and got us some copier paper boxes as well ;) The move is Oct. 11.

BrendaS104 10-05-2008 11:13 PM

*wave*
