Back from Vacation,& lost a pound!
I was visiting New Mexico for a week, Santa Fe,and Taos..wonderful place..and lots and lots of good foods. My hotel,and later a b&b where I stayed all served breakfast..BIG,big breakfasts. My goal was to not gain more than 2lbs. Instead,I lost a pound! I am pleased. I didn't go 'hog wild',but I tasted everything,had my share of authentic local style foods..including flour,and corn totillas..lots of beans,and even enjoyed the blue corn pancakes one morning w/fruit. I ate a apple every day,and had lots of salsa,and lots of chile's. The secret,which I knew from previous trips,is walking most of the day..and taking the steps,rather than the elevator,and drinking lots of water. I knew this 'secret' from other trips,and yet why don't I give it the respect it deserves?....dunno,but I will make every effort to keep it up throughout the winter,if not outside,then at the gym..
